The actual viewing numbers for cable news are pretty miniscule relative to the population with Fox being the leader having a couple of million viewers at prime time in a country with a population of 340M. Fox had 70 of the top 100 news casts in 2024 for cable news.

The morning shows on your MSM have viewships of 3M or less. The most watched nightly news is around 7M at peak.

150M people voted - they are not been led by MSM. Its just an easy "they're out to get you" argument that doesn't hold any water.

Where did I ever say that the MSM successfully influenced the election? I've actually said despite a coordinated narrative by MSM, the voters didn't fall for the gaslighting. That still doesn't make it right. And yes, the MSM has low viewership due to the fact that they've lost the public trust the last few years for failing to tell the truth about Biden, immigration and crime, just to name a few. That's what you call "the proof is in the pudding".

So Musk allegedly removing posters' checkmarks (not actually blocking their posts) on a social media platform is more of a concern for you and an abuse of free speech/public trust than our primary news media outlets ignoring, hiding and disputing the obvious decline in Biden's cognitive ability? Got it.

What's even more ironic is the left whined like little bitches when the Russian's allegedly posted misinformation on Facebook which they claimed resulted in Trump's victory in 2016. Maybe others do, but I get zero political content on Facebook unless a friend posts a political comment. The only non-solicited content I get is for skiing, fishing or some company trying to sell something. If you actually "follow" and believe political content on Facebook, or any other social media, then you get what you deserve.

So you are complaining about the lack of news coverage of an “obvious decline” from one news source while basing that on what? The opinions aired on another “news” source? You apparently derive your trust on a purely partisan basis.

Should probably use Legacy media as MSM is evolving.

It’s fortunate that people use X for their news. You can argue that honest reporting from honest reporters is better. But, that’s not even close to what the legacy media is. The beauty of X is that people can directly refute and add context. That doesn’t exist in Legacy media.

We are the news now and we should be. crush has been pushing his news to all of you for 7 years. We see what kind of legacy the Legacy Media Liars have become. Legacy got paid to play with cheating and lies with Covid. That right there is a deal breaker for me. Big Poison paid Legacy to pull our legs. 95% of my peeps took the jabs. I told some folks about Club 33, 666, NASA, The Globe and all the tricksters on the planet and they get all mad at me. Flat earth comments really piss people off. Try it out for fun. "Hey Gramps, do you think the earth is flat?" I have no idea of anything, I just ask tough probing questions, and it gets people angry. I told one high up soccer Doc about some cheating I saw firsthand and I asked him straight up if he took any bribes and he about ripped my head off just for asking the tough question. I was assigned fact checkers on this site to make me look stupid. One dad actually threatens me to a fight at Silverlakes and gave me a stern warning not to show up. I was also called an antisemite and a man of white privilege because I still have blond hair and not cray yet. He got what he wanted and I'm happy for him. Told me to STFU and much worse. Then I get home and get an email saying something like, "hey dad, be careful online. They know where you live." My point is that the over whelming majority of voters do not use MSM based on the number voting versus numbers viewing. They couldn't influence an election based on that alone. The MSM complaints are a tired old argument to stir up a them vs us narrative that doesn't have any merit.

That's a fair point about X, but that's for debate not news, you still have to look elsewhere for the actual facts. There are still reliable news sources like the WSJ and local newspapers. There is also nothing wrong either with looking at both the NY Post and the NY Times or the WAPO and the Examiner. I suspect the working class doesn't have time to spend on social media or online and likely relies on legacy media, which were lockstep in promoting a narrative and not news. I could write a laundry list of things they did, but to me the final act of blatant partisanship was when 60 Minutes edited Kamala's interview responses to make her sound less stupid. (Of course, CBS has a long history of being in the bag for Dems, Dan Rather lost his job for knowingly presenting fabricated documents about Bush's National Guard service). Husker and Whatithink can live in a world of denial but the track record of blatant bias is well documented by a number of independent studies. Maybe they think its coincidence that the overwhelming incidents of false stories or censorship favor Democrats or disfavor Republicans.

Just a little factoid. After Biden was elected CNN was the leading cable news outlet (actually all of cable) with 1.7m average viewers throughout the day. Now they are south of 500k. You don't get that low without breaching the public trust.

I would just point out that viewership is just the tip of the iceberg. They have a large online presence, including social media. Plus when you add up CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and compare it to Fox the left leaning media dominates. Like I said, the legacy media influence took a huge hit this election because it was clear that they were lying about both Biden and Kamala.

Thankfully we still have legitimate news sources with real journalists like the WSJ.
