The Resolute Desk was promptly removed from the Oval Office & transported to an undisclosed secure facility for a thorough examination. Experts in counterintelligence & forensic technology were tasked with dismantling & scanning the desk to locate & neutralize any embedded devices. Early reports suggest that at least one miniature transmitter—small enough to evade casual inspection—may have been embedded within the woodwork, though official confirmation remains pending. White House spokesperson Emily Harrow declined to provide specific details but acknowledged that “enhanced security protocols” had been enacted. “The administration takes all potential threats to national security seriously,” Harrow said during a press briefing earlier today. “We are cooperating fully with relevant agencies to ensure the sanctity of the President’s office is maintained.” Speculation about the origin of the devices has already begun to swirl. I don't call Trump a dictator, and my comparison was a comparison, i.e. I see him being called that as compared to libs being called the other. I don't care, because its all hyperbole to me, from both sides.

I don't have a rationalizations, I have a series of actual hard facts. Those facts seem inconvenient and uncontested by those calling Zelensky a dictator, which is utterly weird to me, but I don't claim to be able to get into the heads of those who ignore the evidence before them but accept random social media posts as gospel .🤷‍♂️

His condition for resigning was Nato membership from what I read. That would keep his country safe and doesn't appear to be rolling over to me, but rather achieving his objective

I concede the last point as the initial reports were that he couldn't deal with Trump over the mineral rights. My bad for trusting initial reports.

The narrative on the Left is that Trump is exploiting Z when his country is compromised, or as you assert he is bending Z over. Z bent over the US with a sweetheart deal because of our fear of Russian expansion across Europe. They got a blank check with zero oversight or accountability, and with no repayment provisions. This is very troubling given Ukraine's structural corruption. I look at Trump's mineral request as an attempt to equalize the deal, not bending Ukraine over but straightening up the US. I will also note that a mineral deal will put us in economic partnership with Ukraine which is a power move against Russia.

I don't agree with Trump's deferential treatment of Putin, but if it results in an end to the war that's all that matters. Like I said before if Trump negotiates a settlement, that a huge accomplishment. By the same token if he fails to end the war, that's a major failure of his administration as he ran on ending the war. For comparison purposes, not whataboutism, Biden did jack shit to end the war and in fact only fed its continuation.

The whole Trump is in bed with Putin/Russia narrative by the Left has just become so tiresome. The recent criticisms of his treatment of Putin is more Chicken Little bullshit. He's in bed with Putin, until he bombs the shit out of Russian planes and then the Left claims he's starting WW III.
