T 2.0

Wow, you broke AI with one question - you should publish a paper on it and it might stop the trillion$ being and about to be invested in it.

If you want an answer to a question, you should ask it, e.g. "Is there anything in the Constitution that prohibits the President from issuing a preemptive pardon?" and then see what the results are.

AI is a tool. As with all things, it's best to "trust but verify".
Slow your roll, (or is that troll). AI is a tool, but its not remotely a reliable news source. You probably missed the prior thread with NorCalDad where I sourced a couple research articles that reflected the inherent bias and inaccuracies of ChatGPT and other AI. I also referenced another ChatGPT search that falsely claimed Covid was one of the primary reasons for the California deficit.

We use AI chat bots for our business. We're trying to navigate how to utilize AI in other parts of our business, but reliability is a big issue. AI can do some really cool and crazy things, but are those things really helpful/productive for your business at the end of the day? Right now, I primarily use AI on occasion to write reports and correspondence.

How have you implemented AI at your work?

Agents to automate, chatbots and the like. It has a huge amount of potential, but the ROI is tricky and is being asked about more and more (rightly so).

Just for shits and giggles, I asked ChatGPT "Is AI reliable for news?".

AI can be a useful tool for gathering and summarizing news, but it does have some limitations. One key concern is that AI models like mine are trained on vast datasets that often include content with inherent biases. These biases can then be reflected in the information or framing the AI generates. While efforts are made to minimize bias, no system is completely neutral.

Additionally, AI relies on the quality and diversity of the data it learns from. If the training data is skewed or incomplete, AI-generated news summaries or insights might miss critical perspectives or propagate misleading information.

To ensure reliability, it's important to use AI in conjunction with human judgment. Relying solely on AI-generated news without verification from reputable sources could lead to misinformation or an incomplete understanding of a topic.

I appreciate its honesty. I don't think "Trust, but verify" is appropriate in this circumstance. Other sources are more trustworthy, and require far less verification.

This AI crap is for the birds. It's all fake and just what weirdo science freaks would want. Thank God Trump won.

Damn. Now he has to go back and change his name on his old posts to whatithinkisntasreliableasiusedtothink

Fair, plus the code itself can have implicit or even explicit biases, so you could derive that the answer itself is biased, i.e. only "blaming" the data rather than the code that drives the data collection and presentation.

I don't use it for news, but do find it extremely useful researching topics that I am already familiar with but need to review or that I need to summarize or refamiliarize myself with. It's way more useful than running some searches and trying to find a site with the pertinent info in an easily consumable format. It's just another tool or resource. You need to frame the questions correctly and you need enough knowledge to interpret the results correctly or discard them if they are not correct or incomplete. All simpler said than done.

Bottom line though, is that AI will change everything in the next 2-5 years, whether we like it or not ... IMV.

Its a decent tool "to get you started" especially when your your in a brain fog, like me.

Why does the left value the opinions of actors, comedians and musicians so much? Kamala allegedly dropped $20 mm for their endorsements.

Latest action by the Ministry of Truth --

Black pilots of Tuskegee and female pilots of WW2 are now consigned to a memory hole.

Yeah, if only Public Schools taught history as well as they indoctrinated children into gender ideology, they would all have known this before they were pilots.
