It's weird how a different coach or club can completely change a players performance. Can’t speak to the current issues with Sporting, but will say that both of my girls played for them at one point. Oldest chose to leave (after 4 years with the club) because she wanted a fresh voice from a coaching standpoint, and wanted to be surrounded by better players. Her experience with Sporting was mostly positive as the only real frustration was simply losing to better teams.
My youngest, who is still in the NL, played a year + for Sporting. Her coach was nothing short of an ass. Loved the girls when they won, berated them if they lost. Honestly, someone who, in opinion, should not be coaching. Got to the point where she didn’t even start… And this was on a mediocre/bad team.
We left and went to a better club. Where she immediately started, they’ve made the national finals two years in a row, and she was named first team all conference. Amazing the difference a better coach/club can make.
It's also weird how teams that lose all the time often have ridiculous politics going on reguarding who plays. At some point you need to step back and question why there's so much drama when you're almost guaranteed to lose.
