SS has more schools and thus a longer playoff schedule. They come into sync at the beginning of the Southern California Regional playoffs.

Yes. Round 1 was played on the 8th and Round 2 will be on the 14th. As for why…..it’s above my pay grade.

I tried to get a later screen capture after 11PM but they had already disappeared by then. This is one of the most obnoxious things Diego Section does.
The whole forfeits situation sucks. I’m sure neither Westview nor Del Norte want to meet up in the first match.

The only thing I got from the State handbook was that San Diego Section merited 9 candidates of each gender, which will be distributed into 5 playoff divisions.
That is interesting. It also looks like there is no third place game in open division. It used to be needed since only 3 teams went on to state.
SS gets 16 teams in & SD gets 8.
