I honestly think the frustration isn't necessarily geared towards teachers. I know and know of plenty of teachers that are going above and beyond for their kids. It's the hijacking of the message by Teachers Unions across the country that is pissing people off. And not just the common folk, city and state governments are getting pissed. At the end of the day, the stake holders that are hurt the most are the kids who were already struggling to just make it into a classroom. No one told me I had to stay home. I've been teaching on the computer and working all day from my campus. Along with meeting with admin, talking to students who are on campus, communicating with parents, writing reports, running meetings, etc. This is a naïve response. What do you do?
My school district has been in person since SEP. Teachers have left, most have stayed.
