I only have rumor mill and not in the know with that club. Its within the rules to bring in two top players to make a natty tun.
This is news to me. I haven’t heard anything but I’m sure if they are we’ll hear more about it in the upcoming days.
I'm well aware it's allowed, in the rules and all the good stuff. I just have always thought it was unfair and speaks volumes as to what coaches/clubs will do to win a natty. Kind of sad, really. It’s totally allowed. With the roster rules and and discovery rules you can get anyone needed at any point during the season or before playoffs to help your team. It’s definitely within the rules. My point is it’s crazy clubs are going to those lengths to win. Also for any non Southwest club I mean Southwest already has ECNL on lock anyway but now with doing that I don’t see any non Southwest team ever winning a championship.
You really think SW is going to sweep all 6 championships this year, and every year going forward?
Seems unlikely, even with the top teams adding a couple ringers.
You need to get caught up, Legends 2010
has a fly in from Texas . Solar used to have a fly in . It’s just one player …. These singular players do not make or break any of these teams in my opinion.
I agree I've first hand have seen 2 fly in players (2 separate times) and my thought was "really", not knocking those players but the over hype was real. I was expecting to see a GOAT, and could only shake my head those 2 times. You need to get caught up, Legends 2010

I agree with you. The GOATS are already on the top teams, not to say these fly in players arent talented. These top teams would still make a deep run in playoffs without the fly in.I agree I've first hand have seen 2 fly in players (2 separate times) and my thought was "really", not knocking those players but the over hype was real. maybe we should go the other way and fly our players to the East coast or to Texas!!!I agree with you. The GOATS are already on the top teams, not to say these fly in players arent talented. These top teams would still make a deep run in playoffs without the fly in.
Spring by Az showcase had Penn Fusion defeating surf 2-1 with surf having their fly in.maybe we should go the other way and fly our players to the East coast or to Texas!!!
based on overall results of SoCal vs the rest of the country yeah I feel top level SoCal girls' could definitely improve a non SoCal team. I just think its funny how the fly in kids are treated so that's why I made that statement.Spring by Az showcase had Penn Fusion defeating surf 2-1 with surf having their fly in.
R U certain east coast teams need SoCal players?
I did the research and that’s confirmed but not a new development. Player has been flying in from Hawaii for the last two years for Koge (showcases, playoffs, and a few conference games) and did the same for Solar the year before.
hey maybe I need to take back all my SoCal comments. Peep the U16 and U15 rosters that were just released!based on overall results of SoCal vs the rest of the country yeah I feel top level SoCal girls' could definitely improve a non SoCal team. Sorry you can't do this. Theres too many people that need to make a livelihood off the efforts of children. In looking at the 2009 and 2010 teams the US put together to represent our country now more than ever we need our 2010 ECNL Southwest All Star team to show the country what’s up. It’s bit mind boggling that out of the 8 teams that made the finals last year there’s only 1 girl from any of those teams now representing our country. You would think the best teams have the best players on it or are the teams really that skewed?
In my opinion, let me say that again, this is only my opinion, I feel the last 2-3 YNT teams (2010 specifically) have been so randomly put together. I really think the scouts/coaches are trying to narrow down and look more closely at the girls versus seeing them with their club teams, possibly? I thought the last group left me scratching my head but this one took the cake. Hard to say what exactly they are looking for (continues to scratch head)....In looking at the 2009 and 2010 teams the US put together to represent our country now more than ever we need our 2010 ECNL Southwest All Star team to show the country what’s up. It's not a national team roster. It's a roster for the camp. Same as it was for the last national U15 camp. A wide net is being cast. No matter the potential trip to Germany, Spain, etc, it's all an experiment at U15. Gets more serious at U17, but even at U17, it's very preliminary and no predictor for the senior USWNT. At U17, the GOATS will be going pro (though not all U17 who go pro are in reality GOATS).In my opinion, let me say that again, this is only my opinion, I feel the last 2-3 YNT teams (2010 specifically) have been so randomly put together. I should have mentioned *camp team roster. I am aware this isn't an actual team roster. The mixture just seems to be all over the place. It's not a national team roster. It's a roster for the camp. IMO, humble as it is, the world cup team, the olympic team, gets selected from the potential shown at U19 and from the pro ranks. SO sit back parents of younger players and just enjoy watching them play.
A new coach looking outside of the past selected players to a large degree.I should have mentioned *camp team roster. I am aware this isn't an actual team roster. The mixture just seems to be all over the place.
YES!!!A new coach looking outside of the past selected players to a large degree.
This is about perfectly written as it can get. It's not a national team roster. It's a roster for the camp. Same as it was for the last national U15 camp. A wide net is being cast. Going to be making the trip down to Norco with my 2010 in a couple weeks for GA playoffs. Figured I'd check in this thread and with Carlsbad7 to see if there were any particularly tasty 2010 matchups and/or check out some of the higher ranked teams I don't get to see. Is the full schedule posted somewhere?Sorry you can't do this. Theres too many people that need to make a livelihood off the efforts of children.
