How’s the 2024-2025 season going?

In looking at the 2009 and 2010 teams the US put together to represent our country now more than ever we need our 2010 ECNL Southwest All Star team to show the country what’s up. It’s bit mind boggling that out of the 8 teams that made the finals last year there’s only 1 girl from any of those teams now representing our country. You would think the best teams have the best players on it or are the teams really that skewed?

Sorry you can't do this. Theres too many people that need to make a livelihood off the efforts of children.

In my opinion, let me say that again, this is only my opinion, I feel the last 2-3 YNT teams (2010 specifically) have been so randomly put together. I really think the scouts/coaches are trying to narrow down and look more closely at the girls versus seeing them with their club teams, possibly? I thought the last group left me scratching my head but this one took the cake. Hard to say what exactly they are looking for (continues to scratch head)....

It's not a national team roster. It's a roster for the camp. Same as it was for the last national U15 camp. A wide net is being cast. No matter the potential trip to Germany, Spain, etc, it's all an experiment at U15. Gets more serious at U17, but even at U17, it's very preliminary and no predictor for the senior USWNT. At U17, the GOATS will be going pro (though not all U17 who go pro are in reality GOATS).

IMO, humble as it is, the world cup team, the olympic team, gets selected from the potential shown at U19 and from the pro ranks. SO sit back parents of younger players and just enjoy watching them play.

I should have mentioned *camp team roster. I am aware this isn't an actual team roster. The mixture just seems to be all over the place.

This is about perfectly written as it can get.

I will add that the u17s are a bit close to the U17WC to still be experimenting as much as they are given the roster they just called in last week.
Maybe they are looking for for practice players for their international camp before leaving for Morocco.

I heard from some folks in the KNVB that the U16s are heading there in the next couple of days to play more friendlies.
If true, they just sent the girls home from camp last week. That implies they had that roster set before they had the camp because international travel usually requires a few weeks prep. Doesn't seem overly logical to run a domestica camp with a lot of new players only to leave 2 weeks later a different roster to Europe, but typical of the US decision making.

The U15 (10s) should have already passed the 50 unique kids in camp by now

The big issue still remains with the the coaching. The don't go too far out of their comfort zone and they are pretty settled on their style of play.
So for kids who aren't getting called in some times times its purely a style of play issue, and not an overall quality issue of the player.
