Not sure when Coast updated the scores today (I checked earlier and it was still empty) but Oxnard won League Cup, 4-1. Valley scored first but Oxnard came back pretty quickly to equalize, adjusted their game and controlled the rest of the game, banging in a few more. Valley had a few chances but Oxnard's defense and keeper were just super solid. Hats off to Valley, they have a really good team.

I don't think Real has lost that bad during the season, Godinez must be a really strong team.

RSC is near the bottom of the table in ussda bu13 and that team is different than the players who scrimmaged. Bunch of white team and others players according to the fill in coach.

I've seen Real played a couple of times, Vs Pats and LAUFA, both times they tied and played very good soccer, they have very talented kids on their roster, specially the right wing and the goalie had really good saves both games.

So Godinez didn't play the Real So Cal Academy Team? I heard that RSC was traveling to a tourney the next day or so?

The fill in coach is Yossi Raz? Only guy on that sideline yelling top of his lungs "deal with the physicality" there goalie is a good talent. Hard for anyone to make 1v1 saves. Right wing is tremendously fast. And has some good moves. Big kid as well. So cal played there academy! Coach was extremely mad. Talked to his team after game for about 20-25 mins. Great game. Socal had chances. Godinez team doesn't miss.
I'm sure the white team comments and fill in coach is to keep people from knowing they even played. Since it's against rules.

Real Socal pulling stunts again?

Are they attending that Florida showcase that the Pats are going to? That's a lot of the $ for a showcase.

Next years international or bigger tournaments will see some of the SC ussda teams.

So far have heard that Golden State, Galaxy going to Dallas Cup, TFA & LAUFA applying of MIC cup, Strikers to Gothia cup, what other teams are going international?

It was definitely the RSC academy team. Maybe one RSC white player played. Keep in mind even at what some are calling a "watered down" Surf Thanksgiving Cup, there was still some serious talent there. Not everyone is playing on an academy team.

Again SR comes through 3-2

1 LAG 0 Golden State.

So was it the Real SoCal academy team or not? I heard it was the academy team.
Late to Party: Mostly Academy but several White team players saw the field. The game was 3 x 30 min and was 2-1 Slammers after "FT" - RSC gassed at the end of 90 min. Slammers physical size advantage was evident.

It really is a ridiculous rule that DA clubs can't even scrimmage outside teams. I can understand not participating in non-DA sanctioned tournaments. Over a 10-month season, tournaments aren't really that important. But I don't understand the logic of not allowing DA teams to hold informal scrimmages with outside clubs. If a DA coach wants to scrimmage a local team, so he can get a different look I don't see the problem with that. And for players, it gives them some much needed variety instead of playing the same 8-9 teams over and over again. The scrimmages might be a good opportunity for DA teams to play reserves or pull up players from the "B" teams similar to what Real SoCal did. I'm just not seeing the downside unless someone else can explain why it's a bad idea for DA clubs to scrimmage outside teams.

I'm with you! The prescriptive nature of the DA also hurts growth as teams run multiple systems of play and they will be exposed to so few. Someone pointed out the physicality of CDA was apparent and playing against teams that are much bigger and more physical is also an important step of development. I hope RSC doesn't get punished as I'd like to hear about more of these games and think they are good for both sides.
