G2010...how’s the season going 2019?

Let’s be fair and say that yes they are successful at the young age group because they recruit top athletes but to say they don’t have a strategy or don’t know soccer is unfair as well. Like I mentioned, I personally think Tim Kelly is a great coach, he knows how to move his players around and his players understand the direction he gives them on the sideline and are able to execute the plan of attack. That’s soccer IQ at the age level. Wether they don’t practice possession soccer or like to play out the back is a style of English soccer they have adopted to use. And in the olders they don’t have a big enough talent pool as the teams down south do and they lose players to Real So Cal. Which by the way have now fallen under my shit list.

After hearing what one of their coaches said about me to our coach and things discussed on this thread. Really gave me a bad taste towards that club now. I told our coach the honest truth and to come here and read what I say. Got nothing to hide. I’m honest to say I don’t agree with his game plan all the time during games but I can’t say that he hasn’t developed our players or done a great job with their progress. But the fact this real SoCal coach did that to me after they scouted my DD and wanted to recruit her next year for their so called 2010 super team. I got news for them. It ain’t gonna happen. She ain’t coming next year to their 2010 super team. I will make sure the other top players won’t go either. So if they are lurking here like @Dominic says they do. Pass the news...

TK is highly overrated. Has good little teams for the first year and a half because he gets strong players who win tournaments on talent and by the end of the second season they’re running out the door looking for new clubs or coaches.

Don't be a fool Luis.

How can you praise a coach who you previously explained beat your team by playing kick ball?? Are you that blinded by the plastic shiny trophy?

His style does not work past 7v7. Big leg in the back kicking the ball to fast fowards in the front is recipe for disaster in your child's soccer development. Why do all the eagles teams fail when the field opens up? It's because all the soccer players left and went to play for Real and the Eagles are stuck with girls who fit some clowns system when they were younger.
Do your homework my friend because from the sound of it you are headed to the Eagles. Talk to family's who played for that coach and have left the club. You'll quickly learn about politics and how little coaching happens but that shouldn't stop you because it's all about winning.

Thank You Jimmy for coming in to diffuse all of this nonsense. And settle us all down. How you been? How’s your niece? They had a strong finish to their season finishing third in their bracket. Congratulations.
I can say this group of parents come close to the 03/04 parents. I still think 2013/2014 season was the craziest group of parents ever assembled, especially the Legends Combo team from Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Sun City, Riverside, Corona, Moreno Valley, Fontana, Colton, Rialto, San Bernardino, Chino Hills, San Dimas and Pomona. We were a mixed bag of nuts that demanded from our poor coach a "W" or else. No developing going on back in the day. Win or go home crying......lol!!!!

Your perspective is solid.

The only team I've seen firsthand that I've never seen resort to kickball is MVLA out of NorCal...to a lesser degree SDSC, although I think they're not as possession oriented they were even a year ago. I think part of the problem is lack of skilled personnel. In order to play possession style soccer with constant ball movement, off the ball movement, you have to have everyone on the field with not only some amount of skill, but proper technique. From what I've seen virtually every legit F1 2010 team have 3-4 girls that fit the above described bill. And typically from I see coaches like to get these top girls in iso situations to go 1 v 1 and beat a lesser player, or just play kick ball over the top to find these same advantage situations.

It's funny to me watching all these teams/coaches do pregame keep away drills, and then they instruct their player to shoot from midline on the kickoff.

What would you guys consider to be good development programs for Ecnl or Da that are worth taking a look and researching within the Los Angeles, Ventura county and Orange County area? Any veterans out there that can put some perspective for the clubs in this area? Or better point me to another thread where this info maybe lurking. Not trying to get out of the subject matter here and take this thread to another direction.
@Luis Andres you need to ask that question under a new account. Not a single parent here would want you showing up to their DD club.

Any team you find will have different level players on the same team. They all make mistakes, and some players will make more mistakes than others. Some of those mistakes result in a loss.

But no decent coach is not going to keep the bottom third on the bench. Imagine what would happen if they did. Parents of the bottom third get fed up, and leave. Club fills out the team with whoever it can find. Repeat every year. Then, when you go 9v9, you get clobbered because you have no bench to draw from.

It's better to just pick the best team you can, and then play the whole team. Even if it costs you a goal or two.

Doing good. Niece is doing good. Got the chance to go to one of her games. It’s been tough to get out after the recent surgery but making the best to stay active. The team looks promising. A talented group of girls. You guys didn’t do too bad yourselves with the second place finish under the Eagles. I see you getting in trouble with coaches, what’s the deal with the super team Real Socal is building? Gonna let my brother know about this, my niece is a talented player and I’m sure he wouldn’t mind her trying out for a team like that in such prestigious club like Real. He wants to move down to La since there are more options here for clubs.

I totally get your point but I think you don’t understand mine. I’m talking from the perspective of our team and other teams that are striving to develop players and compete at the highest level possible. It may not reflect other teams in club soccer. We are a top 10 team in CAS and I can guarantee you that all the other teams that are in this tier do not give equal play time and may even have stricter guidelines than we do for players remaining on the team after season is over. They make cuts, recruit new players and do the necessary things to stay competitive and win games at all costs. Is that wrong? No if the parents and players understand what they are getting into and that’s what they are looking for in a team as well. No one is asking them to be on the team, they have tried out and made the team and must meet the standards to stay on the team and earn their minutes and place as starters. There is a bar that is set to make a type of team like this and I don’t see nothing wrong with it if that’s what they looking for as well.

So for someone to say that this is wrong and unfair to the bench is being bias to ones opinion and beliefs and not reflective of that team’s values and beliefs and qualifications to be part of the team. You can’t just show up with your DD and say I want to play for the g2010 SDSC Or Blues team and be a starter in games and get equal minutes. Does not happen on these kinds of teams. You have to earn that and deserve it or the rest of the parents and players will complain. That’s my point. I get what you are saying but it does not apply on these types of teams which is what Im referring too.

Nah. my DD also plays for a top 10 team nationally. I get the whole super competitive team thing. I just have a different view of it. More birthday parties, less YNT. Best of luck to your daughter.

"Top 10 national teams" aren't always built in the manner you describe. My kid has been on top 10 U14 team and many of the girls have been together since U7/U8, others since U10/U11. Our roster has generally grown by adding kids as we've moved from 9v9 to 11v11 and now DA. We've lost a couple of kids along the way too, but it's been far fewer than we've added. We've never been told or encouraged to do extra training, although some players have opted to do it, and our coaches generally did a good job of spreading playing time out amongst the team so that everyone had the opportunity to develop. I think the best teams grow together, and you also have the benefit of building long term relationships between kids, families and coaches.

Are most tryouts for your DD happening in Dec or Jan?

Are new players already attending trainings / practices ?

Is your current coach staying / leaving since it’s 9v9?

as far as us current coach is staying been with them since day 1 and we have a great bench of 3 players that are in the process of better learning the system and getting acclimated to moving the ball in diamond formations and learn how to safely build the attack out the back.Having now a midfield allows us to move certain players in these positions that should take our game to the next level. As far as tryouts one can call the coach or director of the program directly and request for a tryout. And we don’t do recruiting but rumors are of a certain key player wanting to come to our team. And if this certain player decides to make the transition with us for next season. Then you might be looking at us with the potential of having one of the best or possibly the best midfield in all of CAS for the age group. That’s all I can say for now.
Great to here @Luis Andres about home local talent. Hopefully you can land CM, what team does she currently play for? Eagles?

I wasn’t gonna answer this Jimmy but since MR. 84 pissed me off. And I’m very close to finding out who he really is and you are a cool guy. I’m gonna give you my stance on how they would build that 2010 super team. I got nothing against the club but a couple of coaches there that have done things to piss me off. Real Socal is the biggest club in the area here and they seem to scoop up all the smaller teams eventually to add to their Empire. Which is fine and I understand that from a business perspective and it’s what keeps them at the top.

They haven’t been able to be competitive with their 2009 pre Academy teams playing SCDSL Flight 1 bracket with all of the power houses that exist down south. So they need to build a super team for the 2010 division to become the pre Academy team. So they can compete flight 1. Their 2010 teams compete flight 2 and they are good don’t get me wrong. But not flight 1 top teams. So if they wanted to create a super team for 2010 division to compete against the powerhouses from down south. They would need to take their top 3-4 players from their current teams and the top 3-4 players from the Eagles and Ole to build such a team. Because the talent outside of those teams within the area does not exist to build a super team that can compete and be able to beat the better teams down south.

Well thanks for giving me the 411. But what does this have to do with you and them going out to build this team? It's not like you can stop them from doing it and wouldn't it be beneficial for you to eventually go to the Real program? I would think so because they are the powerhouse club from the area and eventually they get all the best players from the region. So it's inevitable you might be there in the future when their DA program starts and if your DD is still one of the top players in the 2010 division. For me it would be a no brainer.

Whats so funny? @Zizu84 coming from that guy from the 2011 thread who’s probably never been or seen an game in the 2010 division. Nothing wrong with giving my own take and opinion on the changes that could impact teams within a league I have deeply studied and very knowledgeable on. Troll on. I would have expected a laugh or comment from someone on the Legends, SDSC or Blues team which is cool. But you are a troll on this thread. Go back to your own side of the fence and come back when you have an argument of value to add to this thread.

Just love it when you forget to take the meds. You are so entertaining. But really get help. I can post where ever I want Lewis. Just like you do... or are you special ? The guy that flip flops, calls out 9 year old girls and then comes on here and says sorry. Then deletes his account.

Meds no way man never don’t need no shrink to give me meds. @Justus takes meds cause his Doc says he needs them right. I just say it how it is. And I’ve never deleted my account. Still here. no filters or sugar coats. I’m just straight brutally honest and cut to the chase but I’m fair. no bs here but you know how that goes sometimes the truth hurts. People don’t like to hear the truth and the reason why things are the way they are in this world. Nice to know you still read my posts though. You can post wherever you want but say something add some insight, post your thoughts and don’t just troll.
Easy @Luis Andres , @Justus never said he took meds did he? He didn't delete his account either and neither did EJ. Just new versions of an old man who is working through life bro. No need to take chemicals from chemical plants. Live off the plants only. No more red meat for me either. All natural. The truth hurts, that's for sure.
