G2010...how’s the season going 2019?

M
@smellycleats77 if your DD is not the CB or the right winger for Slammers PA, then don’t say nothing. Unless you have a claim with footage to make otherwise of your DD if you wish to nominate her. What’s wrong with giving your top players some recognition of their play. That’s what we are here for to analyze the season. Who were the players that stood out from these top teams. If you don’t like the subject matter. Leave...
Maybe take some grammar lessons, buddy. You sound like a complete fool.

It’s been confirmed, my buddy (dad) SDSC Navy G2010 confirmed #12 and #10 have committed to SD Surf Select. We had tryouts last night and it was said, and confirmed. Remember I said purple headband 3 weeks ago would be making the jump. Hopefully SDSC can get an equally or close to player to replace her. She will definitely make an impact on the team with her departure.

How about you just leave this thread newbie. We were fine here before you analyzing the season. Now we want to see who the top players are. And give them recognition. If your daughter does not fit the criteria, don’t hate.
You all enjoy the fun of ranking teams, players, etc....keep it fun and entertaining. Trust me, when you get to 11v11 you will look back in these days longingly as there is an innocence about these ulittle days.

Stay positive my friends!

That’s been my experience over the years. Whether it be Volleyball, basketball or just quitting sports all together, there is a lot of life ahead f them. I can’t knock them cause I was one of the many who where them a number of years back. But know that I’ve been thru it all, I’ve seen and learned just as they will. I didn’t want to hear it from the “oldest” just as they don’t so what gives me the right.

Just know guys and gals, let’s talk when these “super stars” are playing with a size 5 ball with 22 kids on the pitch. It’s a humbling recollection.

Just a thought, if they (clubs/coaches) aren’t looking for your goat, why leave your club/team? If your kid truly stands out, they’ll come up to the parent after a game or ask around and reach out to you. All these parents chasing these better teams is a joke. It’s parents egos, that ruin this game. Now maybe I just don’t understand because no one is chopping at the bits for my average dd. The SD surf has been after the players from SDSC for a couple of seasons now, and they finally recruited some standout goats.

thats gonna definitely change up the rankings a bit. Question is does SD Surf become that Tier 1 team by having these top players? We’ll see. Or was it more the complete team and the system they ran that made them so success ?
I think SDSC‘s success is a combination of goats and SDSCs ability to develop players and teams. Before SD surf poached 5 players from SDSC 2nd team, the 2nd team would beat Surf in league. The SDSC Orange (2nd) team still did ok despite losing 5 players. They lost to Surf twice in league, 4-0 and 4-3, not terrible. We’ll see what 2020 brings, Coaching has a lot to do with how much success they’ll have.

we had these 2 sisters on our team and they got poached, they were back at our tryouts a couple of days ago. They are looking to jump ship again. Hoping to take the spots of the SDSC Navy players that left. The problem is they are very average at best. Their parents can’t accept that.

Best post in this thread for quite some time.

Heres a better question. Out of all these top teams who's the best coach(s) for actually developing soccer players?

Development is the only thing parents should interested in not ranking these young girls.

Does Olé win here again @Luis Andres with coaching?

The top 2010 players discussion is interesting to me. Something different than Luis arguing with everyone, or debating team rankings. Here’s who I think are the top 20ish players:
Top 3 in no particular order: Blues #6, SDSC #17 & #12.
Best of the rest: Eagles, #9, #5. Blues, #10, #7, #2. Legends, Both Forwards. Ole #2, #12. OC Galaxy #19. OC Surf #10. Slammers PA, CB and RW. SD Surf CM.
And, a little love for the Keepers- SD Surf, Eagles, Blues, Ole are all very good.

Who did I leave out?
OC surf- #10
Murrieta surf- #3
Legends Corona- both forwards and the CB
TV Hawks- #3
SDSC- the whole team
Blues- #10, #6 & goalie
OC Galaxy- #19
Slammers Newport- #13, and those 2 towering girls

I’ve witnessed Luis’ antics on the field prior to his ban. I’ve seen him throw chairs and chew out the coach in front of parents and kids on the field. I can’t respect his coach for continuing to put up with that kind of behavior. That shows the coach choosing to keep a good player around to help with wins over developing other players and fostering a healthy team environment.

Sometimes it is the mismatch between parent goggles and reality. (My own daughter is clearly the best CM this year, but others may not see the wisdom on that statement.)

Sometimes a recruiting coach lies to parents about what to expect. Parents of an average kid are probably looking for some playing time, and coaches arent always honest about that- even to themselves.

Best bet is to watch a game or two. How long is the bench, and do they see decent field time?

Surf is always after the top 10 and 11 year old goats. It's how they truly develop their players. My dd had a dream at 11 years old. Surf Doc & Coach had the ingredients (connections) to make that dream a reality. Plus, it's all free. Imagine if you can, a dad working his ass off just to pay the bills every month and having to pay $4K-$5K a year for two years for youth soccer was all of a sudden, with a snap of a finger, its FREE!!!! All because your goat is good playa and they want to be #1 in the country with most of everything. They have the access to the dream too? Hard to turn down when you haven't lived it. Let me be clear. We lived in Temecula. If I could do it all over again, I would have went to the Temecula Hawks and help them build a local winner. The problem was that Arsenal and Legends came in and went on a recruiting mission in 2011. My advice to all the local dads with little goats: "Stay local and play local." When goat is 14, then maybe she needs to go somewhere where all the other top goats play. I'm also sorry to have played a roll in all the disruptions and divisiveness. I can say 100% that was not my intent. I honestly was trying to help my dd achieve a dream that all these Docs said she had a chance at except for Tad Bobak. The only one who tells it like it is. Good coach he is, let me tell you :)

Luis going BK on us. He's a "throw" back competitor you guys.

It would be nice to start building a player

it’s not that they are not in there. Since there are a lot of Slammers teams. Their results may be mashed into another Slammers team. Same thing that had been happening with Legends until I let him know there were a few legends 2010 teams. It is up to the parents to guide Mark the administrator to speed up this process and see your team ranked. Over time it will get worked out cause somebody always sends him the right tips to investigate, if you start to give him good info, he’ll even prioritize you. Just build a relationship with him over email. I’ll post it need to find it. Mark@usyouthsoccerrankings.com

I know I may sound like a clown here at times but professionally I have to be a different person. You know I’m just messing with you all or maybe not as some may say lol.

If something is not right or isn’t going your way create your opportunity by inquiring. Something we did a lot when we were children. Ask more questions. That’s what I did.
Thanks for the explanation

Another gem from CL!!!

He also tried to take on the basketball sneaker giants and failed miserably with his own brand/business. That includes BBB and Lonzo up to this point. That being said I’m all for someone taking on club soccer and hoping to make a positive change
