Gothia Cup was well-run and the city seems to welcome all participants, including the parents.Just wondering what foreign tournaments Canada, Europe etc. people have experienced and if they found it an enjoyable experience for the players.
We attended Gothia Cup a few years ago. It was an amazing experience. We played teams from Sweden, Lebanon, Czech Republic, Georgia (the country) and England. It's as much a international soccer festival as a tournament. The clubs aren't as prestigious or the teams as talented as MIC, but the overall experience is far better (at least from those I know attended MIC). The Gothia Cup has opening ceremonies with over 45,000 in attendance and a whole downtown soccer experience with fields, games, entertainment, etc. It is our families best memory of youth soccer. Just make sure you go with a fun group of parents.Just wondering what foreign tournaments Canada, Europe etc. people have experienced and if they found it an enjoyable experience for the players.
