CalSouth National Cup Question (use of ECNL players)

@Kicknit22 RB relevance will soon fade into obscurity as they don't have a DAand it's highly doubtful people will stay around esp at the 03 04 level.
The issue you should be worried about as with most soccer coaches is where will he skulk off to. Keep an eye on that
 
Well congrats with the medal and all the accolades. As we move on to next year, let's see who will stay with Arsenal and RB. I wonder how many of those 7,8,9,10 ECNL that played will stay.

Now off to National Cup.....
 
DA is definitely going to change the competitive landscape for sure ... but I don't think ECNL is just going to fade away, I think will be a viable, relevant league. Remember your only going to have 18 spots for the DA 1 program, if your kid does not make that team ... what's your next best alternative league DA 2? ... Also ECNL has built a solid college recruiting platform that many coaches are familiar with. If you read the D1 Coaches soccer blogs many of them are still in favor of ECNL and what offers from a college recruitment platform. In the Short term year 1 and 2 ECNL will have some relevance ... although long term ECNL would be under threat ... My 2 cents

Didn't your team collectively raise their hand and cry "it's not fair" that you have to play National Cup when you petitioned CalSouth to play DOWN in Presidents?

What happened to "grinding harder", "getting better" and coming back better?

Thats the problem with people that lack integrity, they always think their argument doesn't apply to them.....
 
Kicker Por Vida!. . .C'mon brother let it go ... To the best of my knowledge Arsenal did not petition we were thinking about petitioning but Cal South Let us in without doing so, maybe you know more than I do ... please educate me on that point.

Not sure how to answer this .... but the EGSL Players got to play at a high level, and ECNL Players got some additional touches and playtime working on various parts of their game

Please prove to me how Arsenal broke any rules, played dirty, or any thing that was outside of the Cal South rules.

Your "integrity" comment truly applies to the use of ECNL players - which applies not just to Arsenal but to other teams that played in this tournament.

Your integrity comment is only an opinion and not based on any substantial fact . . . other than Arsenal used ECNL players, dominated the field, pissed off alot of parents and teams along the way, won the championship and appeared on Cal South Video raising the cup, other than that please show me how any rules were broken?

If your team played Flt 1, they must petition to play down in Presidents and meet the criteria of winning less than 20% of their games.

Isnt that PC ..? Why did your coach bold face lie in the video. If the encl girls werent on the team how was his statement about being 3 and 5 true.
 
Whew Wee... Biz came straight out of peanut Gallery and Just had a digital outburst! Are you one of the teams that we beat ? just making sure so I can understand the context from where your outburst is coming from.

But I am pretty sure he's not going to stand there and Say "Yeah we won the Championship and used ECNL players ... sorry to all the teams, and parents who are really, really, really mad at me, I am sorry that I used ECNL girls to fill up the EGSL Roster, because if we didn't we would not have enough players to play in this tourney . My apologies to all your teams, we shouldn't have scored so many times, oops My Bad! Next Time I won't field such a competitive team so others can have a better change at winning! . . . What do you expect the guy to say?

I'd expect him to say. "Kick it forward, what's wrong with you, you're terrible, kick it forward again, get off the field, you can't play today," the same as he's said every time I've ever seen him open his mouth :)

No you guys didnt beat us, i thought your comment was classic. Especially the Egsl girls got to play at a high level and the Encl girls got some more touches as we tell are DD you never know who is watching...lol

Yes!! Exactly. I would love RB to say this. It's perfect as is. No editing needed. I remember my U10 and U12 Daughter playing AYSO a few years ago because they wanted to play together and dominate the circuit. They did and a lot of parents (on the other teams) got mad at me and actually confronted me on a few occasions. I agreed and it was unfair for me to do this. Even though my daughters had a great time and got 1% better, it was unfair for the other good AYSO teams that deserved to be there and did their best, only to lose in all the championship games to my stacked team. So, you are correct in that your ECNL players got more touches, got 1% better and probably had a great time just like my daughters did but I wasn't playing for a chance to go to CO for the regionals and take the spot of another team that probably should be going. You are correct in that if Cal South didn't complain, why is it wrong? I think this thread is basing everything off of the ethical side of things. But then again, I followed all the rules too when we won all the AYSO tournaments but should I really have done that?

I wouldn't say president cup is "high level" for EGSL players. Sadly, a lot of teams worked hard for this tournament and what your team did crushed their spirit. I don't think it was fair for teams to get ba

Some teams worked hard for this. For RB and the parents on his team, it was just a kick around. Really, RB is bad (we all know); but it's really the parents that allowed this to happen, and continue to support it.
 
uhhhh MayBe Not.... I was at all of this games as well ... and its quite different than how you framed it .... RB was not yelling as much ....in fact I was chuckling because the other coaches where yelling more than RB... One of them even got kicked out. That 04 team Won 4-1, 5-1, 2-0 - They controlled the game the entire time ... if he was yelling like you mentioned I would back up your statement ... but its just not the case. Keeping it real form my perspective

If you were at all his games you may be one of the obnoxious parents in his 04 sidelines.
As if we couldn't tell from your posts already.
Again I don't know why people belabor this he has been like this for years. The only good thing is this pathetic coach and club will soon fade into oblivion as DA takes over. Those girls are awesome- they don't belong on an ecnl team.
Hopefully also at a DA controlled match their sideline will for once be controlled
