Cal Berkeley Coach (women) abusive

Feels like Cal should be a top program every year, so only making the tournament once in 4 years doesn't feel like much of a magic trick to me. Despite the rumors of abuse, the program continues to attract great players but not be a consistently great program.

Is it that hard to get replace the bad with good? Why is this guy still around and why did they just extend his contract with a raise? What gives- fire the prick and move on. Take action. Be brave. Gotta want it. Be a leader. Be a teammate. Give it 150 when you barely have 80. We have expectations of players …. Where is the expectation of the coach. Who’s paying who ? Who’s the consumer ? Most of those students are yet he’s getting a new contact. Coach abuse shouldn’t have to be proved in court. It’s fairly easy to spot - where’s the schools manual on ethics? He can easily be monitored and removed no?

Update:

Did you see this part...

"However, in a 2-1 decision, the 1st District Court of Appeals just reinstated the case allowing her to sue, saying "To plead a cause of action for sexual harassment in the form of a hostile environment, it is only necessary to show that gender is a substantial factor in the discrimination, and that if the plaintiff had been a man she would not have been treated in the same manner."

They are using a standard workplace relationship definition to side with the players. This is how courts would treat all cases if colleges were forced to pay players as employees. Think about your boss at work. If they yelled at you the way some college coaches yell at players they'd be fired.

Strange, to me, this shit was tolerated at Cal. The guy isn't even winning. And frankly, I don't put much into him having a high graduation rate... assuming he does. It's a Top 20 institution.
