Albion SC (East County specifically)

They are slated for flight 1?
That's the claim, but given it's almost the same roster that played F3 last year, hard to understand why leadership expected otherwise. According to the ranking app they were pitted against teams 250 to 500 slots higher.

Good

I know u14 ea predominantly 2013s
Some good younger 12s jumped ship and went to city

U15 ea also has three younger 2012s, two of which are simply put not good.
Ale kept a lot of weak players and discarded a very solid one.
My son was one of these.

Not sure how the EA team is looking, but we wish them well. They appear to have a good test this weekend in NOrco.

From what I can tell, Ale didn't strip anyone of their badge--kids rostered on EA/EA2 last year were by and large given an offer to either the EA or EA2 squad this year... eventually. Yet, Albion has stuffed their Academy rosters to the gills; all are well over the 18-kid SoCal limit even as tournament season begins. But not with marginal EA(2) players, who might actually improve the squads, but instead with external kids writing new checks (who don't seem likely to lift any of them, if this past weekend's results are to believed for the putative F1 Academy squad).
I'd expect a fair amount of roster movement going into summer before they stabilize for Fall. Fall league will be the true test for all the new teams.

All the Albion teams are playing a division lower than they should in Norco. There are quite a few flight 2 teams in those brackets.
Well, to give credit where it's due, the U14 EA squad had a field day in their bracket today. The same cannot be said for the U15s, who came away with a W, but not in a way that suggests they are in the wrong bracket.

Hard to tell how good a NPL team they are, but could be a sign Ale made some poor decisions, or just new team growing pains.
The EA teams fared better than last year overall across all age groups. AM probably had to show some improvement in the EA program which he seemed to accomplish, at least for the first tournament of the year.

Yeah, but hard not to for ML's old squads at least. I presume the U14 semi between EA and AD was a forfeit? I would have expected a closer result than the posted 3-0 scoreline if it was actually played.

Will be interesting to see how the EA2 squads fare next weekend.

They played. At times EA looked to be the better team, just didn’t put away their chances. AD keeper saved a penalty. AD capitalized on EA’s mistakes and actually finished. It’ll be interesting to see how the teams look this fall.

Looks like a cupcake group for the u15,so not sure how much it will test them.

MM team in higher bracket with EA and NPL teams.
