Albion SC (East County specifically)

Thank you.
We're hoping it was just a mistake. WE do not have a backup plan for next year.
If you are closer to east county, Crusaders will be in EA2 next season. I saw somewhere they are having additional EA2 tryouts for u14 next weeks, in addition to regular olders tryouts.
Check out Sporting SD too. Not familiar with all of their coaches, but know a few people over there who are top notch.

The 2012s look like they have had a really bad year. Not sure if Sal has some younger 2011s that may be coming down, but the 2011s are quite good.
Thank you for that feedback.
Our focus is finding a team that challenges him and a coach that runs trainings well and holds players accountable. Winning definitely isn't the focus.

They definitely updated the rosters this morning. Looks like they pulled up two kids from the Academy teams to EA2, which has what looks to be a full roster. AD still has a fair amount of space; I imagine there will be some shuffling as kids that either did not move up as expected or were moved down decide to go elsewhere. Unclear whether they'll back-fill by pulling up some more kids, or are just planning to use open tryouts for those slots.

That is disappointing to hear. My son is one of the better 2012EA2 players and has not been offered a spot.

Guess our three year run at Albion is over.
I can't believe they would not extend an offer to *some* team to your son; if you have literally heard nothing (and the app doesn't show a team assignment for him), I would presume it is indeed an oversight. The EC Academy (not that it would be appropriate for your player) has plenty of space, so I'm sure Albion wants your money somehow.

I see that one of the other kids that wasn't on a new roster has been added to EA2.

My son and one other still without a spot for next season.

Yes, always comes down to some money. My husband plans to talk to the coach in the next few days. He would be bored with the acadaemy team and needs more of a challenge.

A lot of these issues could be avoided with better communication. Many times it is about the 'how' not always the 'what'. Not moving up with the team or being moved down should never come as a surprise. Unfortunately youth soccer coaches are not exactly mental giants who would consider such things.

Ouch, a kick in the stomach to those already on the EA & EA2 teams that have yet to be rostered. Wonder if they are waiting for the 48 hour acceptance window to expire before considering other players. Probably why all the tier offers were staggered (HG > AD > EA > EA2)
I'm sure Albion wants your money somehow.
