Albion SC (East County specifically)

The existing coaches view matters more than any one-off training.
Agreed, which is why it is so disappointing that MM and ML walked out the door with seemingly no concern for their players' development. Indeed, ML seemed almost gleeful when he pronounced he would not be involved in U15 formation.

Not sure ML ever cared about player development. Hence the large disparity between his teams and the broader Albion ecosystem.

That sounds like the Albion to which I'm accustomed. Curious why you say they were not evaluated, though; my understanding is they blended the B11 and B12 EA boys into two separate squads and at least one of them faced the EA2 team for a while--although clearly the EA2/MLSN match(es) were the main attraction.
How did the EA2 stack up against the MLSn kids?
Just going off Soccer Rankings they would handle them (but could be some residual points from before they lost players with MM)

Age group training for U16 (B11/10) was tonight; my understanding is they're working from youngest to oldest over the next month or so before open tryouts at the end of April.
All ages groups held 1 session on Mon & Tues. Mon was 11/12 & 09/10. Tues was 10/11 & 07/08/09. Perhaps there will be more to further sort players, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Outside of the HG team, the 2010s all seem to be pretty poor.
Wonder if they plan for a massive push for outside players, or if there are a lot of younger 09s coming down.

They're organizing a few weekend sessions for at least the U15s, but seems like it's just for the Academy squads. Not entirely sure the purpose there, as the Academy squads are usually divided up by geographic preference, not ability, and I can't imagine they're looking to cut Academy players (most of whom already cut checks for next season). One could imagine they're looking to surface prospects for EA2, but AM is scheduled to be coaching one of his teams during the timeslots, so don't know who would be scouting.

Per a coach
Ea2 team has three younger players.
3 of their better field players have already played games with AD.
None of those younger EA2 players are showing on the BU14 EA roster for 26/27, which is currently showing mostly current 2013 and 2012 EA players.

I’m guessing the plan is to have the younger EA2 boys play up on the U15 EA to keep some team continuity? Or they’re waiting to see what U15 will look like after tryouts and the current season ends before making a decision on where to try and move them.

AFAIK no 26/27 U15 elite rosters have been populated yet, so current assignments don't mean a ton--I've already seen boys go on and off the U14EA roster after it was originally constituted.
