I was wondering if SD teams were going to come into the discussion. I believe Albion came out on top of the top flight. Any takers there?

I would also sprinkle some chips with Beach and LAGSB. After seeing their transformation in the last 12 months and noting they came within 1 goal of Eagles in CSL League Cup, I wouldn't be shocked if Rangers turned a few heads.
 
Good point Tim. I don’t want to be disrespectful to our fellow teams from down south, but I have not seen enough of them in order to set reasonable expectations. Could one of them win it all?
liverpool for example is definitely alway there when it counts...

Rankings and logic don't give you everything, its a great indicator. I think if the Rangers play like they played the Eagles, I do think they have a shot taking 1st in their bracket. It will not be easy by any means, but I think it is possible. Not taking anything away from Force either, they are a great team, and its always a great battle against them, as well as they have some great parents are their team.

I think it is the "Game of the Weekend", hoping both teams enter 2-0 and will know what they to do to advance by 3pm on Sunday.
 
There are many great games to look forward to this weekend. My top games list is:

Eagles - Albion
LAGSB- Legends
Slammers Cruz - Liverpool
SD Surf - Slammers PA
 
Somehow mentions of San Diego and Fullerton got the blood going on this board. We are about 6.3% of the way to the 2010 board where people are boldly predicting which player will score the first goal and debating who is the best right back in the age group. What a beautiful world.

Who knew that Fullerton would take center stage of anything? That's like saying Cuba and North Korea would carry the torch for socialist communism into the 21st century. That would never happen! Wait a minute...

You guys should all belong to a country club, carry a 7 handicap, and look at 400 yards of grass hoping to hole out in three shots. All in the name of a club championship.

Instead, you willingly decided to belong to a soccer club, carry lawn chairs, and stare at 80 yards of grass hoping to get three goals. All in the name of a division 2 scholarship.

All of you are heroes. All deserving a win. Enjoy your games and let's all report fun facts from the weekend on Monday.

One of my favorite comments on either the 2010 or 2011 board was that the forum was (paraphrasing) "quickly approaching the douchiness level of the 2009 board." 2010's ship has since long sailed on that front. I think we still have a pretty good commanding lead over 2011.

I would agree with that, 09's have been pretty civil. I do recall a few tense conversations a while back, but mostly by trolls that visit every once in awhile. But I personally have a made a few soccer friends on here, and we keep in touch, say hi during the games, looking forward to more.
