I never brought up her name. In fact, if you look on a couple of other threads, others have mocked this parent-run IG page promoting this girl. Like I said, if the parents want to put her name and face out there on a public profile with a million hashtags for the purpose of garnering attention and popularity, I can't feel too bad about discussing it (without giving the girl's name or even the IG address) on a public forum. If her parents are publicly marketing her on social media, do they really expect people not to talk about it? However, I do apologize for linking this IG page with the girl that was being discussed, because I do think this child should be left alone to enjoy her childhood.
I mainly brought it up out of disbelief that an elementary school student is crossing state lines to play soccer. If she still has a lot to learn about soccer, as you say, I don't understand having her make that sacrifice.
My daughter is older, so I doubt I will ever see this girl play. Her path truly doesn't affect me, but I think there is an interesting conversation to be had regarding how much we parents should be sacrificing, and having our children sacrifice, just for soccer. I also think there's a conversation to be had regarding the propriety of marketing a young child.
At the end of the day, to each their own? That lifestyle certainly isn't for us, but I wish that little girl the best.
You keeep repeating the same thing over and over about her instagram account, why do you care so much? I don't know what hole you live in, but it's very common with young elite athletes. Do some research. Also, nobody promoted or marketed her page, you're the one who went searching for it. For whatever reason you have a lot of interest in this girl and her family. You along with your buddies alphaomega and striker17 have posted several times about her. Move on!
