Donald Trump often brags that dictators such as Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong-un won't start any wars while he's president because they "like and respect him."
First, no they don't — he's just their useful idiot.
He's such a weak, incompetent, easily manipulated dullard that they use the time he's in office to prepare their future military campaigns since they know he won't do anything to stop them just as long as they tell him what a good, special boy he is.

Having a war start almost as soon as he leaves office — such as when Russia attacked Ukraine — isn't a "flex," like Trump thinks it is.
It's a sign that an adversary was preparing for that war the entire time he was in office and, because he did nothing to deter such behavior or enact policies that would make it difficult or counterintuitive for these adversaries to even attempt such an attack once he left office, they had years to get ready for their eventual military campaign without any pushback or concerns about the United States, led by Trump, doing anything to stop them.
