I remember when the US gov gave 4 billion to Haiti for relief.

Later turns out only 4-5% actually made it there. The rest was sprinkled around DC connected firms and NGOs.

Today we find on average 12cents of every dollar of aid actually go the people that need it.

The rest is sucked up by connected NGOs and middlemen.

It’s interesting, at the Safeway across the street from my job, they have two tables set up to collect signatures to support “tax billionaires to pay teachers”. Hahahaha! I didn’t sign despite the fact that, sadly, I am not a billionaire. Do you know what I would sign to support? A CA Doge Audit Department to ensure money is being spent for its intended purpose.

It’s going to get really interesting in CA and several other deep blue states IF the faucet of fraud slows to a trickle. Taxpayer fed tapeworms will be flushed out of the system. The wailing and gnashing of teeth with be glorious.

The politicians in those states do not like sunshine and fight it.

For some reason their clapping seals like E and Husker go right along with them...not thinking through the consequences.

The consequences?

When we have 10s if not 100s of billions of fraud in place...that fraud is not helping the average person. As a matter of fact politicians have to raise taxes to keep the fraud going. Less money for the average person. Less money going to services government should provide...fire, police, roads, infrastructure.

Getting rid of fraud should be something everyone supports. And yet I watch Husker and E fight against Doge and other attempts to reign in fraud.
