Meanwhile, the Chinese yuan, their currency, is going to plummet in value as China is forced to divest of US treasuries to try to stay afloat. China has a lot of mouths to feed and a burgeoning middle class that has gotten used to steady work and steady pay. The people are going to be very angry at the CCP for taking the bait.
By the time the dust settles there will be new supply lines established, and all of those other countries will have raised their hands for low reciprocal tariffs to support their new trade deals.
