Black Rock is really giving some legitimacy to bitcoin with an ETF and an endorsement of it being a great diversifier. Microsoft's Board also recently recommended a 1% investment of their cash. El Salvador as a country is on Bitcoin. MSTR is attempting to raise 42 billion to buy and add to their all bitcoin holdings. Both Trump and RFK are Bitcoin friendly and have promised if elected that they will push for more bitcoin holdings in addition to the 250k + silk road Bitcoins that was seized.

COVID will eventually be a thing of the past and faith in legacy sectors will eventually stabilize.

In the end, I rather put my dollar behind a stock with a product and/or service behind it, over a unit of digital currency with no inherit value other than what the public deems it to be.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against crypto. It has proven to be an unprecedented hedge against current market volatility and times, but long term it will continue to have it's peaks and massive sell-offs. That's just me though. Everyone has their own investment strategies.

Interesting take.. especially lumping all crypto into the "no inherent value" group. Yes, Shib, Dodge and other meme coins currently don't have a utility. While BTC, Ether, ADA, ASA and others actually do.
 
Brazil's central bank is using Chainlink to build a CBDC project for trade finance with Microsoft. Chainlink, in collaboration with market infrastructures Euroclear Swift and some of the world's largest financial institutions, including UBS, Franklin Templeton, Wellington Management, CACEIS, Vontobel and Sygnum Bank, launched an industry initiative to combine advancements in AI, Oracles and blockchains to solve a long-standing problem in corporate actions — the lack of real-time standardized data in fragmented markets, such as Europe. Chainlink's CCIP private transactions just went live, with ANZ Bank being among the first to use the capability.

High risk=high reward. True story. I was on the phone yesterday with old pal that bought lots of coins in 2018. He just hired me as a marketing consultant for a storage facticity he and a couple partners just bought. I will be the first to say I was wrong, at lease at this point in the BC game. I was fearful and didn't buy coins and I wish I did like my pal. Can you say Bitcoin Millionaire? My bro is a millionaire because he bought a lot of coins and took a chance. Super cool guy, humble and wants to help others and share with others.

What makes Bitcoin unique is that each unit is coded with specific digital data that theoretically makes each bitcoin non-duplicable which protects it against inflation and makes it more akin to gold. That being said, to me, that's as far as its inherit value is. It has anointed value over practical value. A stock on the other hand can pay a dividend, and you can look into a company's balance sheet to strategize your stock investment. There is more transparency with stocks than crypto.

Like I mentioned earlier, I prefer stocks because I like my investment to have something tangible behind it, like a business or service, or even better yet real estate as I have even more options with it and even more control (I can rent, sub-lease, flip, customize, or just live) along with the tax benefits property ownership brings if you live on the property.

My son bought XRP at .10 a coin. Bitcoin was at $30K when espola gave us his financial advice. I don't invest because I got everything taken from me but I do have very good friend who bought in very early and they like to share with others.

Yeah but itʻs super competitive too. There are whole warehouses mining BTC. The garage miners are probably not making as much as they were just 5 or 10 years ago. But probably doing okay with some of their coins being up 100k easy. Handful of companies lending against bitcoin equity to keep from having to sell the bitcoin and paying Cap gains. Buy more bitcoin perhaps.
