Well there was a reason on why DA had a strangle hold on ECNL, and the top So Cal talent left for DA. But that's another discussion...
 
ECNL should have two Vegas teams and two AZ teams. Would promote better competition and facilitate scheduling as So Cal teams can play Sat/Sun against AZ or NV teams when they travel there.

3 ECNL clubs in AZ and 1 in NV. 1 GA team in AZ and 2 in NV. Hard to consolidate talent at any age group.

Normally discovery is play in, the top flight one teams from year before get in. Now, half of the teams played flight ii last year and have not done well in tournaments this summer. Seems strange to me.

Rangers FC G 2009 White
Sand and Surf SC G09 Elite
So Cal Blues G2009 Draluck
South Slammers FC G09 Elite

We have to consider that most of the flight one teams (from the last actual season,2019) have moved to either ECNL, ECRL or GA, so that left the door open for some teams to petition for Discovery.
2021 spring league and earlier tournaments results were also greatly affected by roster changes in my opinion.

Doesn't seem like too many teams to me. A few of the teams that won flight 2 aren't even in there, and plenty of flight 1 teams didn't go up.
 
There are reports of a bad brawl at the Anaheim FC tournament involving 2 G09 teams that eventually got suspended/kicked out…
Very disappointing.

I believe there’s 4 teams that only played 2 games. Our team played HG Eagles and they had a parent booted and a lot of parents were out of control. I am wondering if they were suspended on the Anaheim tournament. It’s crazy to see the parent intensity for a random and meaningless tournament. Kids started getting frustrated as well and getting yellow cards.

In general, Kids feed off their parents for sure.
