Academy season

Real because they have full da status? Ok the other 60+ clubs in the DA league must be fake also.

What's your point? He's saying there's a difference between teams with full academy status and those that age out. Your splitting hairs to create the false impression that he is insulting DA teams that age out, when he's just pointing out you are going to lose your best players after u14.

Last time I checked LAUFA had teams until they aged out and the 98's where on top of the table.

LAUFA ages out at u14

You need to check again. You should check the USSDA website for information on academy, not the SCDSL website.

Academy is separate from SCDSL and Coast. Not sure why you don't know this. Does your kid even play academy?

The ayso comments are really not called for, if you want to try to throw shade at them pick something else.

He's not throwing shade at AYSO.

When the 17-18 DA club & teams are published late this year or early next year, or the ECNL clubs, or any of the other leagues maybe you can post some facts.

He's posted the facts. He was right about which teams are full academies

You think all European teams train the same?

You don't know what you're talking about do you?
He doesn't. He's just taking a little break off the golf course to chat stupid. You don't either. So what now, God?

He'll have the last laugh in the end, when your kid packs his son's groceries in his BMW at the Ralph's parking lot.

So now you're posting for somebody else? ok and who's this he you're referring to?

I provide my link of the 135 current da clubs, I don't see any mentions about these so called "full academies" on "real academies" on their site, maybe you can provide one?

Up until this year 16-17' each club had 1-3 teams in the DA league, that was changed to either 1 (U12), 3 (U12-U14), or 5 ( + U15/16 U17/18) teams this year

Next year has yet to be determined, if having two additional teams in the da league make you feel full than I guess your full, full of something...

I can't think of anything to comment, so here's a cinnamon roll recipe:

Ingredients

For the Dough:
1 cup whole milk
one 1/4-ounce packet active dry yeast (2 1/2 teaspoons)
1/4 cup plus 1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus more for the bowl
1 large egg yolk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more if needed
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
For the Filling:
All-purpose flour, for dusting
12 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened, plus more for the pan
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup heavy cream
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

(Don't mess up son)

Retarded people double post.

And here is the finishing touch son

Directions

Make the dough: Warm the milk in a medium saucepan over low heat until it reaches about 100. Remove from the heat and sprinkle in the yeast and 1/4 teaspoon sugar (don't stir). Set aside until foamy, 5 minutes. Whisk in the melted butter, egg yolk and vanilla.

Whisk the flour, the remaining 1/4 cup sugar, the salt and nutmeg in the bowl of a stand mixer. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture. Mix on low speed with the dough hook until thick and slightly sticky. Knead on medium speed until the dough gathers around the hook, 6 minutes. (Add up to 2 more tablespoons flour if necessary.)

Remove the dough and shape into a ball. Butter the mixer bowl and return the dough to the bowl, turning to coat with butter. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled, 1 hour 15 minutes.

Roll out the dough, fill and cut into buns (see instructions below). Butter a 9-by-13-inch baking pan; place the buns cut-side down in the pan, leaving space between each. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled, 40 minutes. Preheat the oven to 325.

Bake the buns until golden brown, about 35 minutes. Cool in the pan 15 minutes. Meanwhile, make the glaze: Sift the confectioners' sugar into a bowl, then whisk in the cream and melted butter. Transfer the buns to a r.

Son and don't for get to do your home work, back to school is tomorrow. Good night son Love you.

LAUFA doesnt have full da status

Simple as that!!!

No if ands or butts

And where did this laufa poster come from...no one was talking about this squad last season

Must be an ex TFA parent that transferred squads

I hate to say it but squads like Strikers Pats and Surf are the ones that generally send more kids to DIV1 or play college ball being that most of their kids have the grades

While most Galaxy kids sign for Galaxy II and just get stuck there

This year 16-17' LAUFA is a da member with 3 teams, next season 17-18' they may apply for more da teams, play in other leagues, or do what they best see fit. Albion and the others clubs with 3 da teams have plenty of options also.

The we are special bit because we have 2 more teams in the da league or all you best players are going to leave line is nothing but bs and none of you know what the future holds.

The entitlement attitude is a shame and part of the problem: instead of entitlements should be based on results and then we would see what's real like the rest of the world. DA is a closed bubble environment that is not the end all, after 10yrs and tens of millions of $ spent, clubs & players are still looking elsewhere and new competitors are coming.

The best usa players normally go elsewhere or Pro to Europe, Mexico, etc and don't age out in the da league. At least we have the MNT so they can come back to play tournments.

You have no clue about Galaxy players, every single one of the u17/18 players had college offers and only a couple choose to play with II and them both are going to DH.

Galaxy is the closest to a academy but still limited to 5 teams with 60 or so students. Nomads what's there numbers?

Speak your mind, coward. Don't be scared now.

There's a hierarchy in the SoCal soccer world. Galaxy and eventually LAFC are on top because they have or will have full DA status, and they offer a pathway to becoming a pro. There's a reason Galaxy can pick off the top players from GS, TFA and other teams. With the talent that they have, Galaxy can play tiki-taka, long ball, or any combination of the two successfully.

Next on the ladder are the full academy status teams. They offer a pathway to playing academy until u18. It's a fact that most of the best players on the partial academy teams are eventually going to make their way to Galaxy, LAFC and the full academy teams.

That's how the soccer world works. The top players keep climbing the ladder, and the number of players that climb the ladder drops off with each rung of the ladder.

People on the thread get REALLY mad if you don't like what they like. Here are ten great ways to start heated arguments that collapse into flame wars.

1.My team is better than your team

2.Philadelphia is undoubtedly the best sports town in America.

3.craft beer isn't half as good as Budweiser.

4.Bill Simmons is the best sportswriter alive.

5.In-N-Out and Five Guys burgers taste the same to me.

6. Football will never replace baseball as the American pastime.

7.. I like my steak cooked all the way through.

8.Bacon's all right, I guess.

9.Pie and cake are the same thing.

(And Finally)
#10.Soccer will never catch on in America.

When you're the real deal, you look for some thing better than da or YNT.

LeBron 02' is the type of great player that the program can't hold on to, one of reasons for the YNT qualifying problems IMO
http://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2016/0...amed-mexican-youth-national-team-camp-insider

DA is a starting rung, the gap between a top player in a group like LeBron playing up vs da regular players is large. Out of this entire age group if one player lives up to that and climbs the ladder ussda would be fortunate if they stuck around.

If you thinks your child is good and ready for the development academy. You better Think twice

Are you thinking about having your child join a new (DA) make sure you do your homework!
There's a long list of things you should consider. Make sure you know what you're getting yourself into! The wrong choice could be a bad situation for all involved -- the coach, the team, your child and YOU!

favoritism coach in developmental academy. watch out............................

Parents hate and try to avoid coach
favoritism and I completely understand Particularly if it’s a blatant case where the coach’s favorite player is clearly inferior to other options. But let me tell you as a parent how this can easily happen.
The coach knows his favorite player He knows his favorite better than any other kid. As a result, he knows or thinks he knows how well his favorite player can handle a situation better than he knows how another kid will handle it.
Of course there is also potential for bias here. It’s not necessarily wrong, but a coach trusts his own favorite player He is less likely to trust another kid So if the two are close in talent, it’s plausible why a coach would choose his own favorite player. Favoritism coach is a common phrase in DA soccer that suggests the coach gives preferential treatment to his favorite player. For instance, the player may be one of the worst mid on the team but the favoritism coach start him first. As I saids as it is something that can be avoided. But it is a sensitive issue and something to consider when finding the right team for your child, the unfair practice of treating some kids better than others.
If you really keep the royal law
Love all your young soccer player as yourself you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.

Nice post. In practice things don't work out that way for some and one the reason why da wants to have members in different geo areas.

There are economic, social, transportation, family matters, etc that make things difficult to move to a mls supported squad for teen players.

Who ends up on what squad varies widely, best players don't necessarily move to chase the mls dream. The kids already know mls is not considered top flight and would rather play elsewhere if they can.

LAFC will have some impact but right now they only have u12. A partnership on the boys side is coming. With the overlapping areas they share with Galaxy, LAUFA, TFA will be interesting to see how things work out especially if they move into OC with the new proposed training facility.

DA and YNT are trying to develop that special player to turn them into world class. When you look at DA in SC there is really not many special players. The ones that are mostly look elsewhere because DA is not good enough to allow them to climb the real world ladders even when you play up.
