Your exit strategy.Remember what I said about the person most likely to fire a weapon by accident is the person who thinks it can't happen?
On certain pistols, 1911s,you can't even engage the safety unless the hammer is cocked, thus cocked and locked. The grip safety prevents the weapon from firing if dropped. The 1911 is by far the best pistol ever made. IMHOI dont like the safety on the back of the grip.
Its like the one I have on my hedge trimmer I taped down.
One safety that can be taken on or off at will is plenty.

You, Iz and I will have to go sometime, I have plenty of toys.Im not a hand gun expert.
I like the weight and accuracy of a .357 revolver, but have not shot a whole lot of semi-auto hand guns.
I grew up shooting rifles and shotguns.
I dont care much for the indoor shooting range atmosphere. They creep me out. You, Iz and I will have to go sometime, I have plenty of toys.

I also know an old local who has a range on his property out on the backside of Palomar, where I am always welcome to go shoot, but he's a little nuts, and waves guns around a little too much for my liking. You, Iz and I will have to go sometime, I have plenty of toys.

Great guy to know when the shit hits the fan, though.
Lots of property on high ground.
Use to be able to shoot out at Horse Thief Canyon . . . until the targets and other debris started to pile up.I also know an old local who has a range on his property out on the backside of Palomar, where I am always welcome to go shoot, but he's a little nuts, and waves guns around a little too much for my liking.
