For high school players in LA county found out this week that some districts are requiring weekly Covid-19 testing for all soccer players.
Citing LA county "strongly encouraged" guidance and routine testing for outdoor high contact youth sports.
Has not been implemented in our district yet but some of the planned opponents have and todays schedule game was cancelled due to the opposing team not having sufficient number of players who completed testing.
Since our school normally plays opponents from other districts it's hard to see how this works unless everyone follows the same standards.
