What's the announcement?

What it should be:
1. Removal of bad coaches
2. Individual development plans with monthly meetings on progress
3. Plan and execution of consistency across teams in training methodology, tactical execution, etc.
4. Reasonable parking prices
5. First team plays free
6. Publicized report out on how many players move from lower team to higher team v. higher team to lower team each year. To emphasize true development. Should also show how many players are recruited from other clubs to top teams each year.
7. Alternative training options when fields are "closed"
8. Fair brackets for outside clubs in their tournaments

What it will be:
1. Riding the coat tails of some other organization through some type of "partnership"
2. Pilot site for more Alphabet soup teams to increase their revenue like ECCL or ECTL - Elite Club City League / Elite Club Toddler League
3. Some type of announcement they are now adding lights and killing wildlife in area since they "won" the lawsuit. Lights will now allow for 24hr play of tournaments.
4. Surf FastTrak so they can automatically take your money as you come into the facility - will cost more since its now more convenient.
5. First round bye for all Surf teams in all Surf sponsored tournaments.

well, that tells you all you need to know about Surf as an organization.
The announcement really is about Bermuda grass in the back fields.

6. Publicized report out on how many players move from lower team to higher team v. higher team to lower team each year. To emphasize true development. Should also show how many players are recruited from other clubs to top teams each year.

100%

Let's also add a report on what the execs pay is.

Add to that what % profit are they taking on every uniform sale?!

I can't think of a youth soccer club in the country that wouldn't trade places with them in a moment. They are the #1 strongest club for girls (of 939 total full-age group clubs nationwide), and the #8 strongest club for boys (of 1,439 total full-age group clubs nationwide) - strongest defined as the best top team nationally in ages U11-U17. Financially they are also among the strongest nationwide, and their brand is more well-known than any we could list. They carry enough teams that their top team is often 10+ goals stronger than their weakest team, so just "making the team" and calling yourself Surf may not be particularly exclusive. But making top team and staying with it as they go national top 5 or better - can't be trivialized as a comparatively impressive feat.

Ummm, Surf won 3 ECNL national championships on the girls side and 2 more on the boys side 18 months ago.
What have you done for me lately?
Have the boys teams been losing talent to SDFC and other MLSN teams? I just looked it up, and their averagle position in the ECNL tables is only 5.5 (9th, 6th, 2nd, 9th, 4th, 3rd).
