What's LA Surf's structure?

What I mean is, they have one MLS Next team, two EA teams, right? something like that? Did they convert their previous ECNL and RL teams into these or were they disbanded? Do all of them train out of La Canada?

On the boys side they are on the mls next side. Encl generally does not allow clubs to play their second teams there (which is why ea exists). In my sons age group the next team finished lower mid tier.

Like most of the big boys clubs (eg tfa) they are organized on a hub and spokes model with a central location and a bunch of affiliates, some of them smaller clubs that were absorbed. The mls next team can draft from any location. They have in some age groups
two ea1 teams: la surf futures and la surf academy…the futures seems to do better…I don’t know how they sort. Next year they’ll be ea 2 and some clubs have teams on both ea 1 and ea2. Not sure how that impacts la surf (3 teams or does 1 drop or do most just keep 2 ea1 s)

The lower teams including the ones in the affiliate locations play SoCal league
