U17b

Looking for a new club for my son.

Anyone know any teams looking to add a forward?
F1+

Closer to La mesa the better. But not a deal breaker

Thank you

I'd heard GA was telling people Rebels Central is getting ECRL. Would be surprised since Rebels existing ECRL teams performed decently well last season, but their ECRL-SC teams did not.
You think that would preclude them from moving the team to Central? Maybe they are only getting ECRL-SC?

I saw south Bay surf will be gettin ECRl-SC

Surf looks to be outsourcing the ECRL-SC teams to satellite branches rather than keeping in Del Mar. I thought I saw Surf Central is getting one of the age groups.

Don't know about Rebels, but would just be surprised if they moved their RL team to Central. Maybe it's ECRL-SC, we'll see.

Even if they are ECRL-SC teams, might be worth checking out for the U17.

Not to hijack the OP's original question for his son but I will add something for the Del Mar Surf ECRL SC thing -
During tryouts I spoke to the ECNL director for Del Mar Surf and asked him about the whole ECRL SC thing. I had only heard vaguely about this and didn't want to get an offer for one thing when it was really another. And I felt this was a possibility because DM Surf has 2 ECRL teams. Their director specifically said that both of their ECRL teams are just regular ECRL and not the "SC" flavor. Apparently this was possible because their 3rd team got promoted by the ECNL organization. His words, not mine. The "4th" team at that club is the NPL/N1L team. And according to the director, DM Surf has never had a ECRL SC team at their location. As far as what is "better": N1L vs ECRL SC, who knows because everyone's experience will vary.

Surf U17 ECRL-SC is having tryouts next week at Bell Middle School.. You can find the info on their social media

I should have clarified that my conversation with the DM Surf Director was back in Feb tryouts, not the more recent high school age ones. So his information was only relevant to that age group along with the fact it was 3+ months ago.
