Curious as to your opinion on the Top 3 Boys (non MLS affiliated) and top 3 Girls clubs in Southern CA? Specific to this discussion, criteria is DIV 1 college recruitment success, not necessarily development, winning, or style of play, etc.

Girls : San Diego soccer club, Socal Blues, liverpool
Boys: Liverpool, Beach, DMCV sharks

Girls: HB Koge Slammers, SD Surf, (Blues and LAFC tied)
Boys: LAFC, Beach, SD Surf

this is just an opinion based on what I see and hear...

All wrong. ODP for the girls. Every player from the 2005 West Region ODP team has committed D1. :) Cal Poly, University of Portland, UW, UCR, Cincinnati, Penn, South Dakota, University of Utah, Sacramento State, UCSB, and a few other. Now 90% of these girls played ECNL.

Not sure why you wanted to limit it to Division 1. For many players D2, D3, or NAIA might be a better fit. In general the ECNL teams have a great advantage right now on the girls side as it is the highest level and easiest to get a college to look at you. How much you get or are willing to take has a great affect on where you should play, as well as if you have a good chance of starting by your sophomore year. I know girls that take 10% to play P5, while players of same ability get 75% at a lesser school.

To the question at hand, Surf and Slammers (Koge) based on record, although I do notice a large amount of Legends playing college.
