They will leave in increasing numbers. However many have an intellectual disconnect.

They move because things have gotten to expensive, too much regulation, etc. And then when they land in their new states...start voting for politicians who want to implement the same type of policies that cause them to leave CA.

Its already over for the middle class. Last 6 years smart middle class families left. Those who stayed are now leaving. U-Haul is very happy by the way.
