By the way...I was thinking last night about the electoral college.
A lot of Dems do not like it. Think it is antiquated, etc.
The argument for it has always been it allows the smaller states to actually have some say.
A good example of what would happen without it is CA.
CA is certainly a majority D state. However Rs and those who lean right constitute roughly 40% of the electorate.
And yet the congressional delegation to the US House is 43 Dems and 8 Repubs. That number will get worse after this election.
In the CA state assembly there are 60 D and 20 R.
Effectively CA has eliminated any real input from R voters. It is a 1 party state that doesn't care about R voters.
Eliminating the Electoral College means small states lose their voice.
