The Muskogee County Sheriff's Office and their FOP members are investigating a bizarre case involving allegations that a baby was traded to a landlord in exchange for reduced rent.
The investigation began after deputies responded to a call involving a newborn boy who had allegedly been given away by his biological parents.
While investigating that case, deputies uncovered evidence that the same parents may have had ANOTHER child, a baby girl born in 2025, who had never been located by child welfare authorities.
Deputies have now located a young girl believed to be that missing child, and DNA testing is underway.
Great work by everyone involved for helping bring these children to safety as this investigation continues.
