There’s a version of this country where replacing the Secretary of Defense with a Fox News host would be treated as a national emergency. We don’t live there anymore. We’ve adjusted.
Lloyd Austin spent 41 years in the Army. Rose to four-star general. Top U.S. commander in Iraq. Head of Central Command. Vice Chief of Staff of the Army. Multiple Distinguished Service Awards. Silver Star. When he was nominated as the first Black Secretary of Defense, the Senate confirmed him 93 to 2. Ninety-three to two. In the current Senate.
But that was the old way of doing things. Credentials. Experience. The boring stuff.
Trump campaigned on no new wars, which is why he renamed the Department of Defense the Department of War and then, of course, set about starting some. The chess metaphor writes itself. The rest of us are just watching the board.

He also hosted a weekend show on Fox News, which in the current framework qualifies as relevant national security experience. He was confirmed by the thinnest possible margin. Let me put this the way it deserves to be put.
Imagine you need a pilot for a 747 with 330 million people on board. You have two options. The first has logged 40,000 flight hours, commanded operations on three continents, and has been vetted by everyone who has ever sat in that cockpit. The second is really good at Microsoft Flight Simulator and has strong opinions about it.
We went with the second guy. We handed him the controls of the United States Department of Defense and said, good luck, the nukes are in the second drawer.
The people defending this will tell you credentials are elitist. That the old guard was captured by globalists, or the deep state, or whatever noun is pulling duty this week. They’ll tell you Austin was part of a system that failed us. Maybe some of that is even true. Institutions calcify. Generals aren’t always right.
But there’s a difference between reforming a system and burning the qualification requirements because your guy didn’t have any. One of those is policy. The other is what happens when you’d rather feel something than fix something.
Lloyd Austin knew where every American base in the world was. He’d been to most of them. He’d sent people to die at some of them and carried that. You can agree or disagree with his decisions. That’s legitimate. But you cannot look at what replaced him and call it an upgrade with a straight face.

Last week, a TMZ reporter assigned to the Pentagon ... and that sentence alone should stop you cold ... asked Secretary Hegseth whether ordering the bombings in Iran gave him a physical thrill. That’s the question. That’s the room we’re in now.

America woke up Friday to workers coating the bottom of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool with an industrial grade swimming pool surface in what trump is calling "American flag blue." Here is the thing though: a reflecting pool works precisely because dark surfaces mirror the sky, the monuments, the world above. Slap swimming pool blue on the bottom and you have got a giant decorative puddle. The pool, which was the backdrop for MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech and last received a $30 million National Park Service restoration in 2012, is now being redone by contractors trump called up personally, the same way you might phone a buddy to redo your backyard.
And this is the pattern, right? No public process, no historic preservation review, no heads up. The same energy that woke Washington one morning to a demolition crew tearing into the White House East Wing, and that plastered trump's name all over the Kennedy Center without warning, is the energy at work here. He calls his own guys, they show up, and America finds out about it on Truth Social.
And it’s so ironic. trump has styled himself as the avatar of rugged, no frills American masculinity, the alpha's alpha. And yet he spends an extraordinary amount of time redecorating. The Rose Garden, the Oval Office, the Kennedy Center, the reflecting pool, the Eisenhower Building, the West Wing. This is not governing. This is an infestation, pure and simple. Territorial marking, every golden doily nailed to the wall gleaming like the territorial pissings of a feral mongrel. I hope to live long enough to see every single thing he has tainted with his tacky, self aggrandizing aesthetic stripped back and restored to its rightful form.

I guess neither those running Biden's administration for him..or Newsom got the memo when it came to making any appointments
to key positions. SCOTUS for example...where our latest addition seemed incapable of defining what a woman is..all while being one
herself. Newsom openly stated he would replace Feinstein with a Black/LGBTQ person.

Look at this teacher. I'm still SMFH that it was teachers WHO pushed the mask, Trans and Jabs on our kids and on all of us. These "sweet" teachers are full of hate, murder and violence. Oh, and many of them think a little boy can transition into a woman when he's a boy. These are the people grooming our children. I would 100% homeschool my kids or find a really good charter or private school. These people have lost their minds. I think it's because they "Hate" God and all those who love God.
