Weird because in the House, 107 Dems vs 19 Reps voted against the 1957 Civil Rights Act and 91 Dems and 35 Reps voted against the 1964 Civil Rights act. Not to mention that Southern Democrats filibustered the 1964 act for 57 days (longest ever) to prevent a vote.
I see you are one of those that think all the Dixiecrats moved north and were replaced by nice well mannered definitively NOT racist people. As you were unable to comprehend that post please google Southern Strategy. You people never cease to amaze me with your incredulous nature.

have you heard of the great political switch? The "Great Political Switch," or realignment, refers to the major ideological shift in American politics from the 1930s to the 1970s, where the Democratic and Republican parties effectively traded core constituencies and platforms, most notably turning the solid Democratic South into a Republican stronghold. This transformation was driven by the Democratic party's shift toward civil rights and economic liberalism, prompting white Southerners to join the GOP.
Key Aspects of the Political Realignment:
The Democratic South to Republican Shift: Historically the party of Lincoln, the Republican Party became the favored party for white Southerners starting in the 1960s, driven by opposition to the civil rights legislation supported by national Democrats like LBJ.
The New Deal Realignment (1930s): The U.S. Senate (.gov) notes that the 1932 election marked a massive shift, bringing a liberal, pro-government intervention focus to the Democratic party.
Regional and Demographic Swaps: Beyond the South, wealthier northeastern states transitioned from Republican to Democratic, while rural, western states shifted in the opposite direction.
Civil Rights Driver: The 1964 Civil Rights Act and the national Democratic Party’s shift on racial issues caused a "flood" of conservative white Southern defections to the Republican Party.
Long-Term Impact: By 1980, with Ronald Reagan's election, the Republican hold on the South was firmly established, marking the finalization of a decades-long reversal.
This realignment also involved a significant shift in the ideological center, with the Democratic party becoming more progressive, particularly between 1988 and 2024, as noted by researchers at University of Cambridge. AND FUCK KID ROCK and TPUSA.
Those who ignore history are destined to repeat it. Those who misunderstand history are destined to post ignorant blatherings on the webz,

Nothing changed with the Democrats. In 1823 they asked, “Who will pick our cotton” if skavery ends. Presently, they ask who will pick our vegetables if we don’t have illegal aliens. The Marxist bots need some reprogramming.
