DOJ charges 20 people over allegedly rigging college basketball games​

The players "fixed and attempted to fix" over 29 games, per the indictment

The 20 people were charged by federal prosecutors over an alleged point-shaving scheme involving basketball players on more than 17 different NCAA Division I men's basketball teams, according to an indictment, CBS News reported. The players "fixed and attempted to fix" over 29 games, per the indictment.

Investigators said that games involving the following teams were allegedly rigged or impacted: Western Michigan University, Butler, St. John's, Tulane, East Carolina, McNeese State, Nicholls State, St. Louis University, Duquesne, La Salle, Fordham, SUNY Buffalo, Kent State, Ohio University, Georgetown, and DePaul.

This smacks of desperation. It supports the thinking that new information may drop regarding financial fraud, election fraud, Jan 6 fraud, etc. There have been hints of this from both Trump and Bessent. The Dems are pushing for any distraction they can get. Crazy stuff.

I'd say it's what people voted for. But that's not such a sure thing now - is it? If CA doesn't push through, ID for voting, paper ballots, and same-day voting, whatever they get, they deserve. You can't have your head this far up your ass not to see what is going on.
