"Schools are designed for the education and well-being of children, not to cater to the personal comfort or ideological preferences of teachers. If a teacher like Mx. TJ Thornton feels unable to teach a diverse group of students, including those whose parents hold differing views on issues like transgender participation in sports, then it is the teacher who should step away from the classroom, and perhaps from the profession altogether.I'm done tiptoeing around this with gender ideologues who insist on making their sexuality or identity the center of every interaction. This case exemplifies a teacher prioritizing their own sexual orientation and ideological wants over the rights of everyone else, including innocent children. It's petty, gross, and utterly unprofessional behavior that harms the very students they're supposed to serve. The perpetual victim mentality must stop. Thornton has the right to teach and to be protected under the very specific anti-discrimination laws at work. However, He does not have the right to disrupt the learning environment or single out children based on their parents' beliefs. Equal rights under the law? Absolutely. Special privileges based on personal feelings or demands? NO!For context, this stems from Tumwater School Board Director Casey Taylor's vote in February 2025 to support a resolution affirming that girls' athletics should be based on biological sex, a position aimed at ensuring fairness and protecting opportunities for female athletes. This vote, shared by other board members, was not a ban on transgender students but a call for equitable competition, reflecting widespread public sentiment—such as a New York Times poll showing 80% of Americans oppose biological males competing in girls' sports. Despite this, the decision sparked intense backlash, including threats and harassment against board members like Taylor, with one incident involving spitting and police reports. In response, Thornton expressed safety concerns tied to Taylor's supposed "transphobia" for opposing transgender athletes in girls' sports and requested a district policy to avoid placing students from" "families that do not support LGBTQIA+ identities" in their class. This led to Taylor's 10-year-old son being excluded from Thornton's class, prompting the family to withdraw him from the district entirely and file a $1.15 million tort claim for discrimination, emotional distress, and retaliation. An independent investigation found no direct influence on placement but confirmed Thornton's concerns were based on Taylor's board actions, highlighting how personal ideology interfered with impartial education."

Anyone that thinks Palestine's problem is Israel should really have their head examined. It's a complete denial of history and current reality.
As I understand it (but could be wrong), if an illegal immigrant submitted a LiveScan in order to supervise or coach children etc, the Livescan will come out clean if they don't have a criminal record. I personally don't believe an illegal should be allowed to be involved with children, not because they're inherently dangerous, but because they can't be vetted for criminal records in their home country via LiveScan.

Insanity, literal mental illness.

The one thing I'll give Donald Trump a lot of credit for is that he's proven basically everything progressives have been saying about the Republican Party for the past 40+ years has been absolutely factual — and that nothing conservative voters have claimed they support and believe in was remotely true.

Their entire ethos is nothing more than simply opposing what Democrats support.

For decades, Republicans claimed to be the party for Christian values, small government, states' rights, the free market, keeping government and regulations out of private business, family values, the Constitution, limited government, fiscal responsibility, and opposing dictators/authoritarians — among a few other bullshit talking points.

Yet here we are with Trump, a president and human being who's literally the antithesis of every single thing I just listed.

He doesn't go to church, he's cheated on every single one of his wives, and he doesn't display a single trait of any value Jesus Christ is quoted as speaking about in the Bible. In fact, there are several parts of the Bible where Jesus specifically warns against and condemns people like Trump and those who might follow them.

Forget small government. Trump believes all of Congress, the judiciary, and each state should answer to him. He's on record trying to pressure sports teams into changing their names, trying to get people fired for saying things he doesn't like, and threatening states that pass any legislation he opposes.

Which brings us to states' rights — which I pretty much covered in the examples above. Then again, "states' rights" has always been the conservative go-to piece of propaganda when it comes to defending rights they want to keep (such as owning people as human beings and guns). However, when they have power, they couldn't give a damn about the rights of any states that do anything they oppose. At that point, they're advocates for massive federal control and trampling all over the rights of any state or local government.

Fiscal responsibility, what a joke. We all knew that's been a load of horseshit for decades. Even as a kid in my early days of following politics, it never made sense to me how Ronald Reagan was considered the "conservative icon" of the political party that claimed to be all about "fiscal responsibility" — when he added trillions to the national debt and never once balanced the budget during his 8 years as president. How are you "fiscally responsible" by adding massive amounts of debt?

Now we have Trump, who's going to add more to our debt than any president in United States history — even though, during his 2016 campaign, he claimed he would “eliminate the national debt very easily,” and currently claims that tariffs are bringing in “trillions in revenue.”

Obviously, he didn't “very easily” eliminate the nation's debt during his first four years in office. Additionally, despite his absurd claims that the tariffs are “bringing in trillions of dollars,” the debt continues to skyrocket.

This isn't complicated math: At $38 trillion (and rising), if we're actually bringing in “trillions of dollars from the tariffs” in only a handful of months, our nation's debt should be paid off within about 1–2 years, shouldn't it?

But there I go again, using facts, common sense, some fairly basic math, and Trump's own lies/propaganda to easily prove how completely full of crap he is — and how gullible someone has to be to believe anything he says.

Limited government, that's another complete joke. As I've already pointed out, Trump believes every aspect of this country, even when it comes to a state redrawing its congressional maps, should be approved by him. Trump is a president who's desperately trying to be a dictator, having every area of this country — from our media to the arts to education — completely controlled by him.

The free market and staying out of the affairs of private businesses? Yeah, you can't claim that when the backbone of his entire economic policy is massive, trade-killing tariffs. And he’s made it very clear that if any major corporation doesn't play ball with him, he'll do whatever he can to meddle, block, or interfere in their business. Just look at Netflix, which is trying to buy Warner Bros., but is very likely going to fail because Trump wants Paramount — a company that has kissed his ass — to be the one to buy them out.

Oh, yeah — "low taxes." Another complete con job. Donald Trump's tariffs have been one of the largest tax hikes on American consumers in modern history. You can't claim to be against raising taxes when you back a president who’s slapping a 10–20% or more tax on American consumers. This is just the GOP’s effort to pass a regressive national sales tax to eliminate income taxes so that the rich really don't have to pay much of anything — and the burden for funding this country is shifted even more toward the poor and middle class.

It was never a matter of if the GOP would eventually be taken over by a fanatical, wannabe dictator who demanded blind loyalty, was largely backed by racists and conspiracy theorists, and trampled all over the Constitution — just when.

It's not a surprise that it happened. It's not even a surprise that someone as blatantly incompetent and idiotic as Donald Trump rose to the top of the GOP. After all, if you tell conservatives what they want to hear, they will believe you, no matter how delusional, devoid of facts, or completely batshit crazy it is.

We've all seen this happening for decades.

So, while I won't credit Donald Trump with much, I will give him this: he's finally put on full display that practically everything progressives have accused conservatives of being over the past 40+ years was spot-on — and everything the GOP has claimed to be over that same period of time was complete and total bullshit. - Allen Clifton

ICE Arrests Worst of the Worst Criminal Illegal Aliens Including Pedophiles, Armed Robbers, and Drug Traffickers

The one thing I will give Trump credit for is that he keeps his promises. Promises made and promises kept. I know Du Du is upset with this promise. I already toward this moron Du Du that Trump was going eradicate human trafficking and drug smuggling.

I'm still shaking my freaking head that Dad4, espola and Du Du supported the jab mandates and firing of those of US who said no to the mask and the jabs. No high school kids allowed to enroll in college unless they were FULLY vaccinated.

FDA investigating deaths 'across multiple age groups' potentially linked to COVID vaccination: HHS

"FDA is doing a thorough investigation, across multiple age groups, of deaths potentially related to COVID vaccines," HHS spokesperson Andrew Nixon said

Let’s just say the quiet part out loud:
America didn’t get hijacked by “patriots.” It got hijacked by failures — and by the very smart, very cynical people who realized how easy those failures are to manipulate. 🤷‍♂️🇺🇸

For decades, the United States has produced a whole population of folks who never did the reading, never did the learning, never gained any skills, never grew emotionally, never took accountability for a single thing in their lives — and then reached adulthood furious that the world wasn’t built around their bad decisions. They flunked out of life, coasted on the easiest path possible, and then expected the entire country to bend so they never have to feel uncomfortable or inadequate.

Enter the political strategists who said:
“Oh wow… this country has a gigantic pool of angry, insecure underachievers who will believe absolutely anything that absolves them of responsibility. If we just tell them they’re right and everyone else is wrong, they’ll worship us.”

And that’s exactly what happened.

A movement didn’t rise because these people were strong. It rose because someone finally figured out how to weaponize their weakness.
Tell the failures they’re actually the real Americans.
Tell the losers that the smart people secretly envy them.
Tell the ones who never succeeded that their lack of success is someone else’s fault.
Tell the folks who never grew up that maturity is “woke.”

And suddenly you’ve built an army — not of thinkers, not of leaders, not of contributors — but of emotionally fragile adults addicted to being lied to because the truth hurts too much.

Meanwhile, the people at the top of this movement?
They don’t respect them.
They don’t admire them.
They don’t even like them.

They use them.
Because they know these people don’t want solutions — they want soothing.
They don’t want progress — they want validation.
They don’t want responsibility — they want stories that make them feel better about failing at life.

So the grifters show up and say, “Hey buddy, none of this is your fault. You’re perfect. It’s the immigrants, the books, the teachers, the scientists, the cities, the gays, the trans people — anyone but you.”
And the failures eat it up like dessert. 🍰

Because it feels good.
Because it’s easier.
Because they finally found a political movement where doing the least, learning nothing, and hating everyone is not only accepted — it’s celebrated.

This movement isn’t powered by greatness.
It’s powered by fragility, by resentment, by the bottom of the class finally hearing a bedtime story where they’re the heroes instead of the ones who fell behind.

And the people in charge?
They laugh behind closed doors.
They know exactly who they’re dealing with.
They know if you give failures an enemy to hate and a fantasy to believe in, they’ll hand you the keys to the country — and thank you for the privilege.

America doesn’t have a “patriot problem.”
America has a failure problem — and a ruling class that learned how to turn those failures into a political ATM.

It’d be tragic if it weren’t so predictable. 😬📉
