The point of having an alternative is to keep the loonies of their base, loony - the old folks who still watch CNN with bated breath (the Marxist brothers, if they actually represent humans) and the young, mentally ill Leftists they have curated and give me an endless supply of Leftist lunacy to post here. They can’t afford to lose the extreme of their base. They are counting on the volume of their extremists to overcome the relative unpopularity of their positions. It’s genuinely sad to see so many manipulated by their strategy.
