I had to look up "legal observer" to see what that means. Turns out she was a "prize winning poet" and a "hobby guitarist". I don't imagine that pays very well. It also says she was there to "legal observer" of ICE activities. Mom said she was probably terrified during the confrontation. Usually, when people are terrified, they stay the fuck away. Dad said she had a hard life.

Here's a quick search and some results. The first two appear to be connected to legal firms. The third, in Texas, says "observers" are not compensated. So who is going to stand around all day and do this shit without getting paid?

Taking Greenland by force is beyond crazy. Fact I just learned though, Seward was negotiating a purchase of Greenland and Iceland back in 1867.
