Despite his denials, he did break laws. It is probably impossible to impeach him in the current political climate, so he will have to act even more brazenly to risk losing his lifetime seat. Perhaps he will just be so embarrassed by the whole episode that he will quietly retire.

I noticed today that Congressman Issa still has a billboard next to I-8 advertising himself as "Trump Conservative". I have heard the man speak ("Get away from the ca!" and other times) and I know the man is incapable of irony.

It appears that your ignorance includes any knowledge of the Issa life story. Here's a good place for you to start -- why exactly is he the Congressman for the 48th district --primarily east San Diego County -- where he never lived before he ran for office from it?

I voted for Kevin Faulconer when I lived in the city. I liked Ike. I was going to vote for John McCain in 2008 until he picked that woman as a running mate. My grandmother was a Republican local politician who won her elections 16 years in a row. My grandfather served a term in the Vermont State Legislature as a Republican.
 
Look at that... common ground. Faulconer had my attention when he ran. However, Gavin Newsom is handsome. Democrats love handsome. It's the most important thing to them.

John McCain was an incredible senator for Arizona. He lost his backbone when he ran for president. Whomever has possession of Hillary Clinton's spine... can probably tell us both what happened to McCain's.
