I see both sides are desperate to control the narrative;
Tyler Robinson, who turned himself in for murdering right wing activist Charlie Kirk, was not acting on left wing ideals but was deeply influenced by the far right “Groyper” movement led by Nick Fuentes. Robinson grew up in a MAGA household, his father was a police officer, and he was surrounded by guns from a young age. Family photos even show him dressed as Pepe the Frog for Halloween, a character that has become a Groyper mascot.
When police examined his ammunition, they discovered Robinson had scratched “Bella Ciao” onto a casing. Though the song began as an anti fascist anthem, it has been co-opted into the online ecosystem of Groypers and incels, and it even shows up on the “Groyper War” playlist on Spotify. This mix of memes, music, and menace reflects how the far right glamorizes violence and recruits followers while hiding behind irony.
Before any of this was known, Donald Trump blamed “the radical left” and Elon Musk claimed Democrats are “the party of murder.” Both owe the country an apology. The reality is a huge percentage of political violence in recent years has come from the right. Officials in Evergreen Colorado confirmed that the 16 year old boy who carried out a shooting just moments after Kirk's was ALSO radicalized online by far right propaganda. Conservatives need to face the truth that their MAGA movement with countless right wing dudebro podcasters is radicalizing an entire generation of young men across this country.

It’s all beyond that, and even beyond him as a person.
It’s what he resembled.
He resembled the archetype of free speech.
He embodied the First Amendment and Free Speech itself, peaceful assembly, and open debate. No one got censored at his events. He never engaged in ad hominem attacks in his debates.
It’s no accident he was shot in the throat to silence him. The throat chakra governs communication, self-expression, truth, and the power of the spoken word.
It was a shot into this nation’s soul, which lived through him.
A shot into the very freedom that defines this country and sets it apart from any other.
The First Amendment defines this nation more than anything.
I never experienced that level of freedom when I grew up in Europe, and it has only worsened.
Now you can get arrested for making the “wrong” social media post in the UK and Germany.
If you believe certain forms of speech should be censored, and that people should be silenced or even killed for expressing themselves peacefully, you have been taken over by the forces of evil.
You are a conduit for the dark spirits that attempt to take over humanity, as all esoteric traditions have warned.
Humanity, and especially this nation, is once again at a crossroads.
Choose wisely. The temptation to polarize and project your hate, anger, and frustration on the "other" is huge, but it will only result in more evil deeds.
God bless Charlie. I didn’t agree with everything he said. I don’t care much for the right or the left, nor am I into any religious dogma or following one particular faith or scripture.
But that’s not the point. And it doesn’t matter anyway.
He has my utmost respect and blessing as a human being, for what he stood for and the impact he made through his passion and dedication, embodying the American Spirit.
Thanks to him, I’m inspired to speak out more.

A report in the conservative Wall Street Journal yesterday claimed that a law enforcement source had revealed that ammunition with "transgender" ideology carved into it had been recovered at the site of the Kirk shooting.
While it hasn't been officially confirmed, some gun experts have suggested that the bullets may have been produced by Turan Ammo. Such bullets are stamped with the manufacturer's mark "TRN." If such bullets were used by the shooter, it's possible that an overeager bigot saw "TRN" and interpreted it as "trans" instead of "Turan."
It's also possible that this was nothing more than an intentional MAGA scheme to muddy the waters. There are people in the right-wing media sphere who will now forever believe that the shooter was trans, even though we now know for a fact that was not the case.
In any case, the utterly baseless claim about a trans shooter fit neatly into the Republican Party's ongoing war against the vulnerable trans community, so they gleefully seized on the narrative.
Donald Trump Jr. went on The Megyn Kelly show and stated: “I can’t name, including probably like Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, a group that is more violent per capita than the radical trans movement.
“It feels like they’ve done every mass shooting in America for the last few years, but we’re not allowed to talk about it,” he added.
This vile lie has been increasingly pushed by MAGA world figures. Transgender Americans are far more likely to be the victims of violence than the perpetrators of it, but Republicans want a justification to strip away trans rights. In reality, PolitiFact's study of 4,147 mass shootings discovered that only 0.17% were carried out by transgender people.
According to NBC News, public records show that the alleged assassin Tyler Robinson last registered to vote in 2021 and his political party was none declared. In other words, he is not a registered Democrat like Trump and others were scrambling to imply.
At this point, the only thing that is absolutely clear is that this individual should not have had access to a gun. As usual, we have Republicans to thank for the fact that he did.
