Anyone with severe mental issues does not need a gun. I know a very good drag queen, and he would be fine with a gun. He plays dress up and he has his own fetishes and I'm perfectly fine with that and so are most Americans. Christians, Muslims and others will say it's a sin. I call it taboo. One's taboo is another's freedom of expression. Let's just keep the kids out of these fetishe taboos and keep your taboos in the bedroom.

I will say this, the vast majority of Democrats have been very respectful of Kirk's death. I watched a lot of CNN yesterday, and from what I saw they were nothing but respectful and even honored him (unfortunately, I can't see the same about MSNBC).
Hopefully, both sides can rally against political violence. To do so, both parties need to mind their own store and challenge the extremists on their side that spew hate. What Mike Lee said was inappropriate (but he didn't celebrate her death) and should have been chastised by his colleagues.
The good news is it appears that most of the hateful speech is being met with job loss. (I'm OK with this for non-governmental employees, but as a free speech absolutist, for government jobs it needs to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).

Those people were not assassinated by the right. They & Them took them out because they didn't vote their way and blamed the right. It what they do best, blame God and blame you for their illness. Killer was bff with Timmy by the way. Charlie shared his beliefs after being invited to speak at Big U and now he's dead. This was the shot heard around the world.

Their supporters have been all over social media celebrating it. These aren’t just obviously mentally ill nutjobs. Many are professionals - teachers, health care workers - one had a Dr title, etc. The Dem Reps in Congress aren’t too bright, but most aren’t ready to commit political suicide. When you talk about “both sides”, where are all the right wing extremists? In recent years, we’ve heard more about fake ones than real ones.
Don’t forget recent history. We had the Left and many professors and administrators across multiple prestigious Universities openly supporting anti-semitism, allowing Jewish students to be prohibited from areas of campus, and celebrating the attack in Israel. Did anyone really believe the Left would stop at the Jews? It’s naive if you did. The “words are violence” mantra allows the Left to control their weak-minded followers giving them justification for any actions - including murder. On the other end of their vile ideology is “rape is resistance”. When people are allowed to be grouped into oppressors and victims, anything can be justified. That’s exactly what the Left supports. It’s organized and promoted from the top down. It’s not an accident. There is no other side to this type of extremism.

Let me rephrase, Democrat politicians have been respectful of Kirk's passing. A lot of the cesspool lefties on social media have not. Dem politicians need to condemn these people, but they will not in fear of losing voters.

The rabbit hole is deep if you get on X. Normally, the half-assed sentiment is "sorry, but...". This is a different approach "He's an asshole, but good luck to his family."
Another lib trying to equate words with actual violence. I don't condone the messages that we're directed at her, but it's way different than taking a bullet to the neck.
Nevermind, that her Facebook page is a treasure trove of people celebrating Kirk's death and rooting for the death of Trump.
