I understand trusting an organization and finding out I shouldn’t have. Between the WMD narrative and the added surveillance powers after 9/11, I saw I was on the wrong side of both issues. So, I ate crow, and moved forward wiser than I was. Part of that was being less trusting of the narrative. I have to wonder what’s keeping dad from doing the same? Ego? Tribalism? Misanthropy?
