Lets be honest, if California didn't have beaches and the Sierras it would be a shithole. C'mon look at areas like inland LA, Inland Empire, Bakersfield, Fresno...mostly shitholes with high taxes, high prices and bad roads.

Ever been to the South? One look at red states tells you they wouldn’t do any better here (Texas isn’t no garden state). I do agree a better job must be done but laying that all at the feet of one governor is silly. Reagan (as governor and president) had a great deal to do with our legacy of homelessness and lack of mental healthcare. I’ve seen homelessness, extreme poverty in many places in this country, even in Anchorage, Alaska. I have lived and been around the beach area since I was a kid. So I have seen things get worse with drugs, aggressive tweekers, etc. To me it is odd these people get pushed around the middle class and areas with working class people but aren’t much of an issue in La Jolla, Coronado, Rancho San Diego, etc. 🤔 Where my son lives in LA it’s clean, quiet, you don’t see homeless or trashy yards, a less than a mile away is a totally different story. This has gone on for decades. And no those people ain’t gonna go pick our vegetables for minimum wage + bushel bonuses! lol!

It’s a lot cheaper elsewhere but it ain’t California.
 
Anyone want to guess what year Reagan was last in the Governor's office? WTF? Was there a moratorium on new laws since 1975? How much did Gavin spend on homelessness, and what were the results? How did Reagan take us from $97 billion surplus to a $48 billion deficit and expanding homelessness? Gotta be one of the stupidest things I've seen on here - and that says a lot.
 
I remember this. She had a show that used to be funny and I watched it. Then it became about being gay, but not funny. And I stopped watching it. Then there was Mixedish. Funny at first, then woke and not funny. It’s a pretty common refrain from Leftish Hollywood. Colbert is the latest victim of this phenomenon. Hollywood needs to take Elton’s message to heart.
