You might be confused because the Dems didnt hold primaries and instead let the DNC choose their candidate, but Reps did hold primaries and voters chose Trump. He was not my first choice but that's what Democracy actually looks like.

I personally wish that there were fewer Reps that were lockstep with Trump on every issue, but there still are plenty that are fighting Trump on any number of issues, most notably the spending in the BBB.

We just need serious people with experience running our government. Trump surrounded by an established staff (part of the first term) is one thing, trump without competence around him is quite different.

When are they going to wake up? They are consistently on the losing side of major issues. Losing JF would not be in their best interests, but those with eyes can see the Dems are out of touch with reality right now. Their TDS has them f'ed up. 😂

Again, I have trouble believing du du sincerely holds these beliefs and is still able to function day to day. The delusion is breathtaking. For the better part of 4 years we legitimately didn't know who was running the country. We have mountains of evidence of our government censoring American speech, the FBI targeting citizens because they are practicing Catholics or complained at a school board meeting, and bank records showing shell companies associated with said, dementia patient *President* straight into family bank accounts. We have egregious mishandling of COVID with lies coming from every part of the administration. The border was a disaster that the Adminstration claimed couldn't be fixed without legislation, and the election fixed that. And yet, somehow, Trump, who has addressed many of these issues to great effect needs better people around him. I could go on, but that paints enough of the picture. I can't help but think du du is an original, beta-test, early-stage Chinese Bot that they forgot to turn off years ago when their technology improved. Or, maybe it's just the symptoms of TDS.

At the time the decision was made for Biden to "retire", the states had already held their primaries. The Democrats had no authority to require that the states hold another round of expensive and legally complicated primaries, so they did it internally. I still say that Biden should have retired before the end of his term, whether Harris won the election or not.

My "I stayed at Holiday Inn" last night psychoanalysis is that the Dems are powerless to do anything about Trump and they don't know how to express their frustration in an appropriate matter and they act out with inflamatory, hyperbolic rhetoric, vandalism and riots.

Its interesting because Newsome and the CA Dems have way more impact on my family and livelihood than Trump ever will. I believe that is the case for the majority CA citizens. Its crazy some of the laws that have been enacted and are being enacted in CA that are anti- business and others that cater to illegals. Those in CA that are right leaning are effectively powerless, yet we manage to not burn shit down.

True but the state primaries were perfunctory and not substantive by design by the DNC.

Nationally, those that are “right leaning” have burned a lot of things down. The Constitution being the main target. Then there’s hit lists, health clinics, the Capitol building, school boards, congressional oversight . . .
