Beta male liar and actorPoor little pussy. Took one for the team and it backfired.
Hang on... I know you're more sane than that.So it's all the left fault for getting more extreme. I'm shocked that's your conclusion ... shocked.![]()
The acceptance of the Trump doctrine and all it entails. Is that progress for the Republican party? In what areas has the Right become more extreme? Policy wise, not Trump behavior.

What I found, no deep dive, just what came up when I searched, “which party has moved most?”Polling by Pew shows the Rep party isnt far off where it was in 2008, 2015. The party that has moved a lot is the D party. They are now far to the left of where they were in 2008, 2015.
I'm not kidding. If your contributions remain this high, I'm blocking you.

Notwithstanding that I did not say the left had not become more extreme, my comment certainly seems to have triggered some!If you look at PEW polling over the decades you will see the left has moved substantially more to the left vs right moving right. If you look it up they poll on this quite frequently. The right is not far off where it has been for decades. The major change is how far left has moved.
What doctrine do you consider extreme? He can be heavy handed in his methods, but what doctrinally would you consider extreme? The acceptance of the Trump doctrine and all it entails. Is that progress for the Republican party?
So are you saying that means the right hasn't become more extreme?Hang on... I know you're more sane than that.
- What is a woman???
- Men can menstruate and get pregnant.
- We need tampons in the boys bathrooms.
- You can identify as anything you want. Feel free to use whatever locker room you feel comfortable in.
- Weaponizing the DOJ to take a candidate off the ballot.
- If you come here and claim asylum, we won't separate you from family or send you back.
- To unburden what has been...
- We've been to the border. Well, I haven't been to the border, but I haven't been to Europe, either. What's your point?
- We're going to build a railroad from the Pacific... all the way across the Indian Ocean.
... you need a few more?
Let's review, dipshit:The acceptance of the Trump doctrine and all it entails. Is that progress for the Republican party?
Well, certainly Trump has taken the rhetoric to the extreme. I'm not sure his 2nd term has been worse than the first, though. It's early, still. So are you saying that means the right hasn't become more extreme?
I wouldn't call this a hard "NO". I also think the democrat behavior emulates Trump's now because they saw it work for him in the primaries. Remember when guys like Rubio tried to tough it up a bit and failed miserably? Biden is 113-years old and STILL talks about kicking people's asses.Notwithstanding that I did not say the left had not become more extreme, my comment certainly seems to have triggered some!
- Trade policy is radically different and more protectionist than traditional free trade, market driven
- GOP policy used to be market based solutions to climate change and now its just F climate change
- Abortion and reproductive rights used to be against, but definitely exceptions for rape, incest etc, now its just NO and also ignore the stated will of the electorate, e.g. Florida.
- Ten commandments on public display in schools, Florida's "don't say gay" law
- Election denial has become widespread
- How many GOPers have now been labelled as RINOs despite being decades long conservative lawmakers?
- Trump is the leader of the GOP, so you can't discount anything related to him, not least his behavior which others emulate.
On Florida, the current law falls short of the amendment at the last election which 57% of Floridians voted in favor of. It required 60% to be passed, but obviously the current law does not reflect the expressed desire of the majority of the electorate.I wouldn't call this a hard "NO". I also think the democrat behavior emulates Trump's now because they saw it work for him in the primaries. Remember when guys like Rubio tried to tough it up a bit and failed miserably? What is the current law on abortion in Florida?
Abortion is legal in Florida. However, Florida bans abortion after 6 weeks, 0 days of pregnancy and has some other restrictions on abortion access. To figure out how far along you are in pregnancy, count from the first day of your last period.
Responses above.Notwithstanding that I did not say the left had not become more extreme, my comment certainly seems to have triggered some!
- Trade policy is radically different and more protectionist than traditional free trade, market driven Don't disagree
- GOP policy used to be market based solutions to climate change and now its just F climate change Republicans have never had climate change as a priority, but they're pro-nuclear which is cleanest energy source. No talk of solving climate change is serious unless nuclear is in the equation. Dem's so-called solutions would have a trivial impact on climate change, are costly and full of bureaucracy.
- Abortion and reproductive rights used to be against, but definitely exceptions for rape, incest etc, now its just NO and also ignore the stated will of the electorate, e.g. Florida. Those are isolated to certain states. Overall, Republican's are more accepting of a abortion up to a certain point. https://rollcall.com/2024/07/08/rnc-softens-platform-stance-on-abortion/
- Ten commandments on public display in schools, Florida's "don't say gay" law Oh, please. That's at total mischaracterization of the Florida law, which is about age appropriate content. Also more Republican's support same-sex marriage than ever before. The Ten Commandments issue is isolated and not remotely a platform item for Republicans. Rank and file Republican's couldn't care less.
- Election denial has become widespread That's false, it's not even remotely widespread. Ask your conservative friends if they believe voter fraud led to Biden's victory. With the exception of Crush and a handful of Republican nut jobs like MJT, I don't know anyone that believes the election was stolen.
- How many GOPers have now been labelled as RINOs despite being decades long conservative lawmakers? Agreed. But I don't see that move as necessarily extreme, since in most cases their moving away from the hawkish lawmakers.
- Trump is the leader of the GOP, so you can't discount anything related to him, not least his behavior which others emulate. Fair, but yet he is seeing Republican push back on spending, Medicaid and Iran. I agree with you on his behavior as previously stated
Tariffs, making moves without Congress, the erosion or elimination of soft power entities, politicizing every part of government (including the military), Republicans looking the other way on the trump families monetizing of the presidency, the now institutional practice of placing people in charge of departments they want to abolish, the demonizing of political rivals and of course the lying about everything. What doctrine do you consider extreme? He can be heavy handed in his methods, but what doctrinally would you consider extreme?
I don't see progress from either party over the past couple decades, only regression.
