I believe in Garcia's case he had due process for deportation, but the immigration court ruled he couldn't be deported to El Salvador because of the threat to him posed by Barrio-18, which is MS-13's rival gang.

Statements in the court ruling (void of trump talking points) state that the gang in El Salvador death threats had come from Garcia’s family pupusa business refusing to pay the gangs mordida (‘the bite’). But you go ahead and run with the trump version of the world.
