This reminds me of youth soccer and a few dads and docs I ran into over at Silverlakes over the years. All nice and sweet until you tell them you're going with the other academy or league. "Oh, you're going to go play kickball with the Blues and a coach that talks to the grass" or, "Your dd is amazing" and then later, "if you leave, your dd will be labeled a club hopper and a medal chaser and besides all that, I know every top D1 coach in the country and my recommendation is gold and cuts both ways, you know what I mean, dad? You catch my drift? Look dad, pay extra for my privates, STFU and let me develop your dd into a star because I know everyone and everyone listens to my words. If you don't pay or want the college play, then get the "F" out of here and stop wasting my time."
The last things we need in youth soccer is a dad running the league with his money and other rich dads money. It's a bad combo. Donate all you want, but that does not give you the right to pick the winners and losers.
