Where was I wrong?
I'm still baffled on how Vegas does it. It's just one new mega casino/hotel after another. I get that the odds are stacked in the house's favor, but the volume is just insane. I can last a day and a half in Vegas and them I'm mentally tapped out.
I get together with one of the top DA's in Clarke County for coffee sometimes and he said you can still get good deals for ribs. He did warn me about the trick & turn babe though. Basically, a beautiful girl will come up to you and start a chat at local lounge or bar. The guy, who is lonely and looking for a quick trick, gets tricked big time by Tricksy. Hot babe tells the fool everything he wants and needs to hear for his low self-esteem. After lots of drinks, she whispers a sweet lovely, "do you have a room here?" Dude can't believe it's his lucky night and up to his room they go, and no charge from Tricksy. Tricksy tells Dumb to take a shower and she will be waiting for him when he get's all clean. Well, dude comes out and his fantasy has now turn into a crime scene.
I walked around the Winn with my pal a few weeks ago and I felt like I was another planet. It was fun and cool and 100% for adults only but my gosh, the gluttony was over the top. I went up to the top of the Concord and I was thinking what you wrote, "the volume is insane."

Ask your DA buddy what he thinks of Gary Guymon. He was a Clark County DA and then went into defense work. He was just arrested for a laundry list of offenses including sex trafficking, intimidating witnesses, solicitation of murder, etc. Unfortunately, I was "friends" with Gary in college.
